Came in for a full set of tires, John was very helpful. You can set appointment or do a walk in and wait in line. If they don’t have the tires you need they can order most of them next day. Get the lifetime wheel alignment .. it’s 199$ , but worth every penny, you can get a alignment every 3 months for life ..it will help the tires last longer. The waiting area can use a update . In and out in 2 hours , 4 tires and wheel alignment. ~Rollin

Great experience here.... Buying tires can be tough, with all of the options available. Initially I had planned on going through my wholesale club, BJ's, but that required me to drive about 45 minutes north. Mavis is only about 20 blocks away from my house in the Bronx. When booking my appointment online, I found that Mavis was only a few dollars more ($600 v $630) which was more than worth the difference in distance. I made my appointment for 11 AM on a Saturday morning. I received a call shortly after from John, confirming the appointment. I did NOT have to put any money down or even enter any payment information at the time of booking the appointment, which I thought was great. I understand that Mavis is taking a risk here...by ordering the tires while risking the customer not showing up. There is a small area (lot) to park which only holds about 5 cars, so if that is full, you may have to find street/metere parking, which shouldn't be a problem. I arrived at 11 AM and expected to be there for a few hours...There are a lot of shops in the area, so I planned ahead and decided to go for a haircut and some other errands. The check in process was simple, they only confirmed the information I entered when making my appointment, came outside to inspect the tires and took my keys. The shop is neat and well kept. There is a front counter area and a waiting area in the back with a few chairs, and roku-enables TV. There is also a bathroom there as well. I was a little disappointed to see that my car finally went into the work area at around 1 PM, 2 hours after my appointment time. My car was finally ready at 3 PM...so a total of 4 hours from the appointment time to leaving the shop. As far a car-maintenance goes....4 hours for work on a mid-day Saturday isn't the worst....but considering it was done on an appointment basis and that the tires were already there at the shop...I think they should have been closer to 2 hours. During the waiting time, John and Tim?! were great company. I learned a lot (and they were willing to educate me) about tires and we even had some great non-auto conversations. Overall, Mavis exceeded my expectations. All staff: John, Tim and the work-area workers were all knowledgable, honest and patient. The prices there are very reasonable and in the end, my bill was even less than expected. I highly recommend this Mavis location and ask anyone looking for tires to consider Mavis instead of their competitors: Costco, BJs, STS, Walmart.... The only pro I see with the wholesale clubs is that they offer free lifetime reblanaing and rotations....Mavis does NOT seemingly offer this. After the visit, I drove about 50 miles and the tires (Falken Ziex) felt great. The car felt very grounded. There was a significant difference in the ride.The real test will probably be when it rains or snows...but so far...so good! ~Jason

Went to check back tire and the older man that works or owns the place did not have the proper equipment to put my tire back in place and while at it he destroyed my tire and when finally I decide to go inside because I have more than half hour waiting he says my tire was eaten/ scraped when I took it to him, after watching him try to put the tire back on the rim I realized he was the one that messed up my tire, because at the point my tire was messed up and had to pirchase another tire from him. While watching him put the tire on the rim he did the same thing to the tire I purchased from him which made me go to another tire shop because at that point he did not have more of the tire size my vehicle required. It was a very crazy night, then at end he was blaming my tire being difficult to deal with, I told him why would he have a tire shop when he doesnt know how to deal with certain tire sizes, doesnt make any sense at all smh.... Very horrible experience. Do not recxomend this place at all. ~V
