Came here based on recommendation of a mechanic. What I didn't know was how much time it would take. Was told 1.5-2 hours, still sitting in the waiting room 4 hours later and I don't expect to be out of here anytime soon as I'm looking at my car untouched to compete the alignment process. As I watched them working on the tires, I had to correct them because I requested the front tires move to the back and the new tires to the front. Glad I caught that. This is my first time here, but I won't ever return. Told the person who recommended me as well, it was a bad recommendation. Time is valuable and my day was taken from me.

To make a very long story very brief. I had to go twice for a wheel alignment, told I had to buy a part to have the wheel alignment done correctly. The part new part was added by my mechanic and the wheel alignment couldn’t be done. Wasted two day going there, eight hours in total. Got my money back and I my car if in worst condition. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!

Tl;Dr terrible and never coming back. Came here for new tires. I dropped it off and they say it's ready. I come get and it takes over an hour after they say it's ready to get my car. get tires but they say my lug nut was broken and they fixed it and it cost $80. They didn't give me any info about that until I was paying? On top of it all, the lug nut they charged me for was the wrong size. When I come back two days later I have a new TPMs light and suddenly they say I need two new tpms. I ask how long it will take and they just drive my car away without saying anything. They come back and start installing $200 new TPMS without even asking. Luckily I stopped them and got my car out of there never to return.

I've had many great experiences at this location until now. This location is usually great with communication and I leave confident knowing my vehicle has been properly diagnosed and or serviced. I'll start by saying if John or Edgar are there, you're in good hands. The new group hasn't impressed me. I made an appointment for 1pm, my car wasn't seen until minutes to 6 before they closed. I called every hour to check the Status I was never told they couldn’t get the parts today. (Nothing) So when I arrived I was told nothing was done, but I needed several parts changed. They told me (Tire Rods- Leaking Oil in the engine Shocks) I then went to two other mechanics the next day because this group of Mavis Guys had wasted my entire day. Day 2.) Both Mechanics I brought my car to the next day said one thing. Your car is clicking because you have a bad control arm. The car was fixed in a matter of 3 hours. I'm writing this review not to slam Mavis, but to make them aware of there poor communication. If you don't have the time to properly diagnose a vehicle don't do a rush job, just tell the customer, we won't have time for you today. I called for an update hourly, and wasn’t informed once they didn't have anything or couldn't get it. Time is money! Mavis you wasted my time.

Did all 4 tires,brakes and air filters. They did an amazing job! Always do the job right thanks to the people they have working. It’s a little wait time but they get the job done always polite and very respectful. Will definitely be coming back to cater all my car needs at Mavis the 2575 Boston rd location is a must.

It was the worst experience I have ever had! I went there for an oil change and tire rotation. They gave me back the car with the hood still unlocked! They did not reprogram my oil change to 100%. They gave me synthetic oil without me asking for it. They misplaced my wheel lock and couldn't find it. They started blaming each other for the loss of wheel lock. They looked for my wheel lock inside my glove compartment. They finally found the wheel lock under someone else's order inside that orders bag. They returned the car to me without having done the rotation because the guy who serviced my car said it wasn't in the order! After they finally found the wheel lock they did the tire rotation. At no time did they keep me up to date about finding the wheel lock or why the car was on the lift again after I had already payed my bill and thought everything was finished! You won't believe the excuses the Manager gave for the mismanagement that happened! I am no longer a customer. I went in for the service at 9:40 a.m. and left at 12 Noon for an oil change and tire rotation! *I had to go back the following day because I didn't notice when they gave me back the car one wheel was missing a slug and another wheel had a mismatched slug. I spoke to a Manager and he was not helpful at all and making up excuses. I left with no further assistance. Horrible service.

Avoid this location if you can. Made an appointment 12 pm and waited more than an 2 hour 45 minute just to be told that appointment times don't matter and a customer will be seen when they are able to fit you into I believe he was store manager tall guy with white shirt name maybe Torrey if I’m not wrong he was very rude when I ask him when are u going to fix my van he told me you live your van when is fix we call if this is the case then why do we need to make appointment ? I told him this is not right then he pull back my van and give me key and told me have a nice day and walkway very unprofessional.

Booked an appointment online for 2pm was there 10 minutes before to and was told that all the guys are on lunch and I have to wait 30 minutes. I agreed on waiting 30 minutes outside and they started the alignment for my car at 4 had to wait 2 hours just for nothing and even with an appointment it wasn’t even without appointment. They guy who manages doesn’t want to help either keeps on telling me that I have to wait yeah he told me 30 minutes and I did wait beyond 30 minutes to get my service done. Don’t recommend the place even with appointment.

By far the fastest 2 tires I have ever had put on my car. The service was fantastic!!!!!!!!!!! Shout out to John at the front desk though he made the experience so much better with his friendliness and his all-around presence. Thank you for a job well done!!!

Great experience here.... Buying tires can be tough, with all of the options available. Initially I had planned on going through my wholesale club, BJ's, but that required me to drive about 45 minutes north. Mavis is only about 20 blocks away from my house in the Bronx. When booking my appointment online, I found that Mavis was only a few dollars more ($600 v $630) which was more than worth the difference in distance. I made my appointment for 11 AM on a Saturday morning. I received a call shortly after from John, confirming the appointment. I did NOT have to put any money down or even enter any payment information at the time of booking the appointment, which I thought was great. I understand that Mavis is taking a risk here...by ordering the tires while risking the customer not showing up. There is a small area (lot) to park which only holds about 5 cars, so if that is full, you may have to find street/metere parking, which shouldn't be a problem. I arrived at 11 AM and expected to be there for a few hours...There are a lot of shops in the area, so I planned ahead and decided to go for a haircut and some other errands. The check in process was simple, they only confirmed the information I entered when making my appointment, came outside to inspect the tires and took my keys. The shop is neat and well kept. There is a front counter area and a waiting area in the back with a few chairs, and roku-enables TV. There is also a bathroom there as well. I was a little disappointed to see that my car finally went into the work area at around 1 PM, 2 hours after my appointment time. My car was finally ready at 3 PM...so a total of 4 hours from the appointment time to leaving the shop. As far a car-maintenance goes....4 hours for work on a mid-day Saturday isn't the worst....but considering it was done on an appointment basis and that the tires were already there at the shop...I think they should have been closer to 2 hours. During the waiting time, John and Tim?! were great company. I learned a lot (and they were willing to educate me) about tires and we even had some great non-auto conversations. Overall, Mavis exceeded my expectations. All staff: John, Tim and the work-area workers were all knowledgable, honest and patient. The prices there are very reasonable and in the end, my bill was even less than expected. I highly recommend this Mavis location and ask anyone looking for tires to consider Mavis instead of their competitors: Costco, BJs, STS, Walmart.... The only pro I see with the wholesale clubs is that they offer free lifetime reblanaing and rotations....Mavis does NOT seemingly offer this. After the visit, I drove about 50 miles and the tires (Falken Ziex) felt great. The car felt very grounded. There was a significant difference in the ride.The real test will probably be when it rains or snows...but so far...so good!
