SideTrax Bar & Grill
a small place beside the railroad tracks. Very welcoming and friendly. The food was very good! The menu isn't extensive but what they have is delicious. A small bar frequently filled with locals. Good service. ~Linda
The Original Margaritaville
We enjoyed our dinner selections and the nice lay back comfortable atmosphere. We decided to sit in one of the booths by the windows that look out at the waterfall. Our waitress was polite and pretty on the ball with refilling drinks and getting the food order correct and quick. The music that was playing at just the right volume was classic rock which was very enjoyable to us. As for the food it was very good and nicely seasoned with good portions.( see pictures ) It's a great place to go during the off season winter time when there's no large crowds like it was today. ๐ ~John
Jimmy's Bar
Not enough stars! This place is old school and we LOVED it. Jimmy's took us back to simpler times, when tavern's where places you could take your better half, meet nice people, talk about whatever, or not, and not have to shout over background noise or keep your back to the wall. Mrs.Turtle and I went there for lunch and, on a Thursday. We were greeted as if we had been going there for years. Meet Thomas, co-owner & chief cook, what a friendly, outgoing guy. Big smile, easy laugh and strong hand shake (see him and Mrs.Turtle). Food? MUCH better than bar food!! Quality, quantity and cost= FABULOUS! Tommy treated us to a desert which, as we were told, is a once weekly treat of his design, all we can say is OMG!!! OUTSTANDING! In summary, we LOVED being there. Memories from our past flooded in, could have spent the whole day. Our thanks to Tommy and the crew, the pleasent company, and thanks for the GRRRREAT food. Now, for the downside. We found out that Jimmy's Bar is a private club requiring a card for entry, again THANKS TOMMY. Mr & Mrs.Turtle shall be back ~Mr.
Dollar General
Just another Dollar General Store in another location. Pretty convenient location for the Westside of Sandusky. Easy in and out location, with good parking. Friendly staff. ๐ Up Dated Review: Have you seen the photos that Dollar General posted on this site? They look nothing like the inside or the outside of this store. There corporate stock photos that are falsely advertising this place. ๐คจ ~John
Mobil
Nice Hy-Miler convenience store Mobile gas station. On a less traveled part of Venice Road now, thanks to the new overpass. I hope they can stay in business due to being bypassed. They've been here a long time and I have been, and always will be a patron. This place has always had good gas prices along with friendly and helpful service. I always stop in when I'm on this side of town for gasoline and a snack. ~John
U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer
Tim was very helpful and worked hard to get me the van I needed on short notice. ~Jeff
Dollar General
Manager is a rude person who is more interested in her personal phone call than taking care of her customers. Also, NOTHING is put away. You have to move carts full of product waiting to be put on shelves. When I said something, the female dosvustin6person FOLLOWED ME put of the store to argue with me. Very professional of her (sarcasm). ~Monica
FriendShip Store
I go to the store in Sandusky on Cleveland Road all the time and I have to say it's always a great experience. Everyone is so nice and courteous especially Joe. He is by far one of the best employees you can ever come across. Anything you need he and the rest of the staff are there to help as best as they can. They always go above and beyond to make your day even better. Overall the staff here is the best in town and I highly recommend this place to all the locals and tourists who come over in the summer ~Spencer
T.J. Maxx
Young staff seemed incompetent to carry out their duties. This location is attached to the mall and for some stupid reason doesn't have a register at the mall entrance/exit. Idk how good their security is, but would think a register at the entrance into the mall would help prevent attempted walk outs, plus make it easier for customers to buy something and then continue out into the mall. We had to walk clear back to the front of the store to check out. ~Falter
JCPenney
I found a few things to buy. Had some nice dresses and tops. However...big complaint here...the petite section is laughable. Come on management, there is next to nothing stock wise, and the styles are so matronly. Middle aged, petite women want to look nice, too. And if you buy Kohl's, that petite section isn't much better. Please step up your game for us shorties! ~Ann
