Best breakfast restaurant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (PA) 2024

I’ve heard about the Dor-Stop and wanted to come here for so long. I’m so glad I did! Absolutely scrumptious breakfast. I cannot express the feeling of bliss I got from eating my fancy pancakes here. The two others in my group agreed that this restaurant is the bomb! It is super affordable considering the neighborhood, and like I said above, it is delicious. I’d like to shake the hand of whoever owns this place, because it is wonderful to have an oasis where I know I can sit and have excellent food for an excellent price (coming from a college student). My only critique is that I expected the potato pancakes to be savory. The potato pancakes tasted very sweet to the point I didn’t enjoy them much and had to salt them heavily. I liked that there were onions in them. I would maybe just add a note in the menu that they are sweet tasting so people know from now on. Everything else was perfect though. I haven’t watched the Guy episode yet, but after visiting, I definitely will. ~j

On a scale of cotton candy to Brussels sprouts, Trolley Barn Eatery reminds me of a small town romance novel. This eatery feels like it's smack dab in a small town though it's located in a Pittsburgh suburb. Orders are taken at the register in the back, and a waitress will seat you (it was packed on a Sunday morning). If you order coffee, tea, or water, you will need to serve yourself from the coffee maker by the register as well as grab your napkins and utensils. There's a certain charm about the eatery, but if you're concerned about COVID, I'd recommend ordering takeout since it's a small restaurant with a loyal crowd. The meal was delicious, and looking at the photos make me want it again! ~Barbara

Best kept secret in the strip. Family run business and all hard workers. Make you feel at home and the food never disappoints. My go to is the BLT, but everything is yummy. I’ve never had a bad experience and I come often. Love you guys! ~Cydnee
