10 Best hair salon in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (PA) 2024

I had a bad experience here. I recently had a cut and color here. When I was done at first glance it looked decent. When I got home my boyfriend instantly asked me who did my hair. I looked in the mirror to see blotches and strikes left from my old color on the sides and back. My hair also was different lengths all over. It looked awful when I got a closer look. I had to go to a different salon to get it fixed. I would not recommend this place to anyone. ~kendra

Stopped in for a haircut today without an appointment and was greeted by Mary, a stylist who was very friendly and did a great job cutting my hair. Very nice experience from start to finsih. I had been going to another salon for years but will be returning here as long as she can cut my hair. Service: Haircut ~Jim

I checked in online and when I arrived I was skipped and an additional two people under me were taken because they got there before me! That’s not how checking in works! When your first in line, your seen next! I will never come to this location again! ~Emily

Not exactly sure on how well of a barber this julian the barber dude is since he decided to reschedule/cancel my appointment TWICE in one week. The first, a day before the original appointment. Not terrible, right? but the second time he cancelled/rescheduled my 7pm appointment was at 658pm the day of. Cool, right? totally professional and upstanding dude! If you wanna get stood up, this is the place to go! ~Josh

I showed the stylist a picture of the cut i wanted she said i can do it do the cut. The cut is nothing like picture!!!I ask her if she needed to see he picture again her reply was no. I will not go back great clips!!! ~Jill

Twice this year I have had the pleasure of working with Kelsie, Colton, and Toma at Hair Enhancements of Pittsburgh in Dormont. The team first helped me to select a wig before I lost my hair from chemotherapy so I’d be ready for the situation. I returned for a second purchase (so I’d have options) when it was time to go back to work. The quality of each wig is incredible: very realistic, stylish, and comfortable. I get so many compliments on my hair! But it is the kindness and expertise of everyone that has made the experience the best it can be, including boosting my confidence. It is a beautiful store managed by beautiful people. (Cody, especially, is a treasure!) It doesn’t get any better than this! ~Denise

Looks like its hit or miss depending on who you get. My first time there yesterday for a simple trim and clean up. Was there for an hour, sat me back down to fix it once, cost me $35 and I gotta fix it again next day. Couldnt even tell you her name b/c she was silent the whole time. The other stylist was super personable and her customer was in and out before me with no issue. ~dan

Kim was my stylist , and I followed her from another salon to this location! She listens to what you are looking for regarding your cut, color, and style! I have Tried using studio G twice and both experiences were not good at all because of the same woman. I used them for two different weddings the older Lady that does scheduling does not know how to at all! The first wedding I showed up to my appointment and she messed it up in the computer but the stylist were able to fit me in and fix her mistake). This last time the same older lady sounded totally confused over the phone putting in a simple appointment. She said I was all set after I talked her through it and confirmed the day and the time. It is a evening wedding so everything Has to be done in the morning. I called the day before and she has my appointment for 2 hours before the wedding starts and it would definitely put me past the start time of the wedding! I even told her it must be in the morning. She did a 4pm appointment when the wedding STARTS at 6pm. I told her I NEED time to go home and get my kids ready. So now I have to hurry up and find somebody last minute for haircut, hairstyle, eyebrow wax and for make up tomorrow morning before the wedding. Definitely not happy would never recommend them due to not understanding how to put an appointment in to a computer for the right time twice! I am not a stylist nor have I ever worked in a salon but I know how long each task takes and how to time everything out.
