Best breakfast restaurant in Charleston, South Carolina (SC) 2024

As usual, my order is wrong and sloppily put together. Anytime I ask for no sour cream, it appears they vindictively give me extra sour cream. They are perpetually out of Pink Lemonade and Sierra Mist and unapologetically inform you with a snarky comment. The staff is never friendly - not even when we try to be polite back. I'm sure it's not fun to work at a downtown TB with drunk college kids but no one forces them to work here and seeing as we get the same service at 2 in the afternoon that we do at 1 in the morning, it's clearly just their constant state of being and not environmentally induced. Not sure why I keep trying with this location. Absolute trash every time. ~Lillian

Been here multiple times every time we have issues. I’ve tried multiple times to give them the benefit of the doubt. This was the last straw the manager was completely rude to my husband. Gave him the wrong food when he decided to deal with and started eating noticed it was not filling cooked. I called to complain and and got frustrated for the Complete disrespect they gave him I know I shouldn’t have cursed but they were completely disregarding me like I was complaining for no reason. The manager tried to say they didn’t talk to him but yet when he described what she was wearing she said I never talk to anyone today. They also didn’t give us the correct order ~Leilani

Caviar and Bananas is a MUST TRY in Charleston!! They offer Gluten-free baguettes which is unheard of for any sandwich place, and as someone who has been gluten-free most of my life, this was such a special and wonderful treat! We ate here twice on our three day trip to Charleston and it was great both times! Though their cold drinks are overpriced (we only got them the first time) we loved all four sandwiches we tried! Their flavor combinations are really intentional and scrumptious. Just ask for extra sauce or mayo as the bread is really thick and it felt a little dry. They are located just outside of all the busyness of the bustle of Charleston, so it's quite accessible but nice and quiet. Best Gluten-free sandwich you will have anywhere. ~Kristi

Simply delicious. Authentic French dive, friendly staff and amazing food. I had the smoked salmon crepes and the baked apple crepe. Both better than any crepe I’ve had. Ever. It’s a small establishment, and I beat the rush so I got a table. I will definitely be going back next time I am in town! Definitely. ~Tonni
