8 Best gas station in Charleston, South Carolina (SC) 2024

FYI everytime you swipe your card Costco puts $100 hold on your card. The pump we were at was not working properly and we can to swipe 2 different cards a total of 5 times which caused there to be $500 with of pre-authorization holds. That's a lot of money! Costco said don't worry it'll go back in your account but that's up to your bank when that will happen. Then someone else called and said we don't put a hold on your account. Really?! That's why it says Costco pre-authorization hold gas station! Now my bank account says $0 and since it's the weekend and the banks are closed the earliest will be Monday that it could be put back into my account. ~Christine

Its clean inside with a friendly staff with a working air/vacuum station, unlike maybe ever other gas station in the low contry. ~John

RUDE RUDE RUDE!! EDIT: I told the ladies at the new station I go to what happened & they knew exactly who I was referring to because she was fired from The Scotchman for being Rude. I can't spell it correctly but I recognized it: JAMIYAY. This ONE girl who is fairly new has been rude to me EVERY SINGLE TIME!! I go there every other day & I haven't had ANY issues with the other employees in the last 14 years but this girl gets mad at ME because SHE can't find my cigarettes, or SHE can't scan my electronic coupon. She Yelled at me last Sat, July 2nd, 4:30pm, because a case of beer busted open & they fell on the floor. (That was not my fault). I let them know about it & she expected me to go pick them up... ugh, NOT today Ms Rude. This day, there were 4 employees behind the counter & 1 outside (they can). Usually there's 1 and a line of 10 people waiting. Finally, I stood up for myself & I told the girl "You're Always Rude to Me!" Her reply, "CUZ YOU BE HOLDING UP MY LINE"! Wth? She even gets mad if I need a receipt!! I'm SO tired of her rude & abusive nature that I'm scared to even go in there if she's working!! Please train your employees to BE KIND or leave! I will be calling the owner and I sincerely hope she's fired! She should not be working in customer service. She's Horrible & I'm not the only person she treats this way. I'll edit this review when she's fired... I'm telling everyone until then. ~Jen

This place has gone down hill. The way that Jessica girl talks to customers is unacceptable. I pull up and she comes out yalling nope nope shift change!! With her nasty attitude. Everytime I come in there she has an attitude with not just me but all customers. Also everytime she works she says the store is closed but when other people are working the store is always open. Also was there a couple of days ago two young african american boys was outside of on their bicycles just sitting there she comes out like a mad woman yalling and cussing then to get off the property. This Jessica girl is a very Bad representation of the BP name and store in itself. The way she discriminates against customers and talks to them I’m surprise no one has filed a lawsuit yet. Someone needs to train her own customer service and how to properly talk to customers. I will also be reporting this to British Petroleum. ~Robert

9am to 5pm can't be the way this gas station is gonna stay. Atleast i hope not or say goodbye to being able to fuel up with the boat early in the am or the day before after work.......NOT HAPPY......... ~Eric

Stop here while on my way to make a delivery at Pepsi and they closed the mens restroom at a Truck stop. A word for the boss most truckers are guys, if it's not broke or being cleaned leave the restroom open ~Archangel

Do not use your credit card here. My card number has been compromised twice shortly after getting gas here. This has also happened to a friend’s card who filled up here. I suspect there are cars readers on some of these pumps. ~Jeff
