20 Best discount store in Memphis, Tennessee (TN) 2025

I'm assuming these are the owners of the store that I am referring to. So they open at 8am supposedly however when I went to the door it didn't open and TWO FAT WOMEN one in black and one in pink was standing by the door UP UNTIL I CAME TO THE DOOR! Please do better or close this place down. It's always disorganized and out of stock anyway!!!!!!! Luckily I don't have to work until 9am because if I was running late I would be LIVID. ~BriNatural

Dollar general over here on Winchester they just remodeled it and put new freezers in it and the store looks way better than it did and the merchandising is better too that I always love the girls that work at their extremely nice ~Kain

Listen people, there is a change shortage. There's no need to get upset with the cashier's when there are signs everywhere stating they have no coins! Anyway, unlike that other store(Family Dollar) they stay open until 9pm. The Family Dollar's have been closing at different times intermittently and that sucks! It's cool though, they've lost my business, I'll stick with Dollar General! ~Preference

They only have a few shopping carts. I have shopped at different Bargain Hunts. This one is bigger and has more mark downs. One of the cashiers was so slow and unprofessional. The other cashier checked out 3 people and came to help the cashier waiting on me because she overcharged me. ~Jean

Most the shelves was empty not stock employees could not tell you the price 3 case of drinks on sale very inappropriate 3rd street general dollar ~Gearldine

If you have been in there you know what I'm about to say. Super cheap prices and super cheap labor. Only one register open and you have to wait forever in line. Places severely unorganized and a big freaking mess. The employees that work there have zero motivation to do what they're supposed to. I stood in line at the electronics counter for 45 minutes before somebody decided to take the moment to even recognize I was there and to come help me. This is a perfect example when people come to work and don't want to do their job. ~Christopher

Loved this store. The only issue, there is no public Restroom because of COVID and that can cut a shopping trip short. On the positive, they stay open until 11pm. Great Prices and the staff was very nice. ~Felisha

This is a really cool store. It was my first time visiting and I heard about it from random mail about there store. I also liked Big Lots and recently started going to Five Below so since I liked those Ollie's was a perfect fit. They are all layed out the same except this Ollie's is huge!!! Its where the old Toys R Us was located. I went with my grandmother and we spent hours shopping cause there was so much cool and interesting stuff everywhere. ~Ryan

For Drivers. The staff here seem fairly friendly. The parking lot is NOT though. It's a back in off a busy street. The unload spot is at an angle and requires 2 ramps to get in. Have fun. ~Binxhijinx

Stop for two bags of tootsie pops. Sign said $1:00 a bag. Cashier going to charge me 2.74 . I told sign said 1.00. she tells me about a sign below.so I said that's alright. As I was leaving a man. Asked her how much did I need. She said nothing. If she wants to talk about someone,she could have wait untill I was out of the store.i had left my purse in the car and grabbed a hand full of change.
