5 Best book store in Houston, Texas (TX) 2024

An awesome bookstore is two floors and big enough for everyone to get entertain. Love love love it. ❤😍❤ There's so much going on inside. 😅 I do recommend it.😁👍 Lots of fun things to see and read and play even for little kids and buy. ❤ ❤ I just love Barnes & Noble 😊 You can even see outside the second floor window there's a Starbucks. He hehe 🤪 ~Ice

What a beautiful and peaceful bookstore! I visited yesterday where there was a publisher’s event. I saw a great mix of new releases, classics, books that were on my radar, and books that immediately made my “Want to Read” list. There was some nice stationery and journals as well. Chain bookstores can be so overwhelming with choices so you usually just get what you came for and leave, but Brazos had employee reviews, and hosts monthly book clubs, making your purchase feel much more worthwhile. I ended up buying a book for my students, and a YA novel that will be discussed in their book club. It even came with a free nail polish! I can’t wait to visit Brazos again! ~Asia

HORRIBLE!!!!! the old woman who manages this store is just the worst. gossips in spanish in her phone. won’t ring up items unless they are in the order she wants them, opens the store whenever she sees fit so (do not trust the hours posted in google) and will not answer the phone! Edited 08/10/22: 3 months later and they are STILL trying to charge me for the returned books from May. They still aren’t answering emails or phone calls, this is the worst run management. THIS is what our tuition is paying for, horrible customer service and completely incompetent management. I will no longer being paying for overpriced books here and will get them from Amazon. Completely useless! They never answer the phone, or emails, what is the point? The administration needs to clean house and start over and employ people that are actually going to help and they need to provide better hours. My textbooks were due 05/15, 05/09 I created a shipping label (so I thought) and paid $5.41 to return them. I got a message saying the shipping label will be emailed to me. Well, here it is 05/19 and I have yet to receive a shipping label or able to print one from their portal. It says “created” as status. Today, I received an email that I will be charged over $200 for the books, because they can’t get their act together. Extremely disappointed. HCC, you need to do better. It is obvious from the other reviews mine is not an isolated incident. ~Aimee
