Course materials went on back order. I had to ask my professor for an extension on the first week's assignments, even though I ordered my materials before class began. The hours are extremely inconvenient. They need to be open later in the day and Saturday would be nice.

Probably the biggest bookstore for HCC, have everything I need .friendly staff and because I like that area it's a plus. I live far but don't mind taking the trip there, pretty big store, looks small from the outside but it's big in the inside.

Edited 08/10/22: 3 months later and they are STILL trying to charge me for the returned books from May. They still aren’t answering emails or phone calls, this is the worst run management. THIS is what our tuition is paying for, horrible customer service and completely incompetent management. I will no longer being paying for overpriced books here and will get them from Amazon. Completely useless! They never answer the phone, or emails, what is the point? The administration needs to clean house and start over and employ people that are actually going to help and they need to provide better hours. My textbooks were due 05/15, 05/09 I created a shipping label (so I thought) and paid $5.41 to return them. I got a message saying the shipping label will be emailed to me. Well, here it is 05/19 and I have yet to receive a shipping label or able to print one from their portal. It says “created” as status. Today, I received an email that I will be charged over $200 for the books, because they can’t get their act together. Extremely disappointed. HCC, you need to do better. It is obvious from the other reviews mine is not an isolated incident.

They rented me the wrong textbooks (including 2 COPIES of 1 book) and the rude manager said I still had to pay the rental fee because I didn’t return within 7 days. I realized IMMEDIATELY that the site ordered me the wrong books so I called MULTIPLE times to tell them their error because I work on top of going to school so I can’t make it all the way there at the drop of a hat. They never even ONCE answered or returned my phone calls so she told me I should’ve emailed. They don’t answer the phone but apparently I’m supposed to trust they’d respond to an email? I even tried coming in person multiple times but they were always randomly closed even during their open hours. The manager snobbily said “last week was Spring Break, sir.” Ok, I guess every week is Spring Break for them. That was not the first time I came in and no one was there. This is a gross, poorly run bookstore and the website that assigns books is broken. The manager's name is Dana Kennamore and I encourage students to report her for being arrogant and miserable at her job!

The lady who answers the phone was super nice! She had a long line and answered the phone three times but, after I told her I had been spoken to 3 times she grabbed my number explained that she would get her line down and then give me a call back. She did just that and helped me out with my refunding issues!! Thank you so much ma'am!!

I went to pick up my honor cords today at the central campus bookstore. But the lady who is in charge of giving out the honor cords is absolutely clueless and she has no idea what she is doing. I asked her multiple times to check my name but she was really being willful ignorant and kept saying I wasn’t on the list. Then I had to call Ms.Dana Fields (registrar), who told me I was on the honors list and said the bookstore employee is not doing her job correctly and I will need to pick the honor cords at graduation tomorrow. Drove across town to get my honor cords but couldn’t get them because the lady in charge of handing out the honor cords didn’t want to do her job and was just lazy af!!!

DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. I bought online a couple of books and store over charge me not only that but they had made no effort to resolve this issue, they never answer the phone and when i do go they say they have no management. the assistant doesn't even do no effort to even try to help or even follows up. and good luck with the emails that they never reply too. very upset I regret deeply ever ordering anything from here by far worst experience. THEY DO NOT EVEN DESERVE A STAR.

They, literally, NEVER answer their phones. They also refuse to return messages. I took off early today so I could drive all the way downtown to pick up my books even though all of my classes are online. Their listed hours on their website is 9am-5pm. Nope, 9am-3pm. Thanks for making me miss out on overtime guys. Good looking out.

The staff was very helpful and knows how to multitask really well for just one person managing the line , I have to really give kudos to her. Really a great experience
