Both times I've visited I had good experiences. The first time I ordered pupusas over the phone and went to pick them up. I was checked out quickly and the food was yummy and a good price. Second time I went for breakfast and ate there. Service was great, food was yummy and a great price. I would go back.

We ventured out for pupusas. Did Google search. Chose this cafe. La Sultana is also a panderia. One item looked interesting. I will get next time. Quesadilla de arroz. I bought several papusas. I never knew there were different kinds: fajita, bean, pumpkin, pork and cheese, mixed meat, mushroom, and others. Customer service excellent. So far had the fajita pupusas. Good flavor. They were very good. We will be back.

The pan con pollo had an entire leg with bone, no one wants to be digging in the bread taking that chicken off the bone. The right way to make a pan con pollo is fo fill it up WITHOUT any bone please !!

I called the order so it would be ready by the time I got to the restaurant. I got there, the lady in the register asked me my name and went to check for my order. She comes back and tells me it’s not ready. I told her it was fine and I sat down. A couple of minutes later she asks me for my name.... once again I tell her my name and she tells me she doesn’t have an order with my name. I’m sorry what? I have a few questions. First off.... what order did you check for and said was not ready if you didn’t have an order with my name? Secondly, if you didn’t have an order, why didn’t you just ask me when I got there. Thirdly, who took my order then? This is the second time I’ve been there. The first time was great. If the pupusas weren’t so freaking good! Ugh. I was so upset I left. Just an FYI take the persons name and double/triple check to make sure they have your order.

5 stars for the papusa just off the chain! This place is divey, run down, kind of 3rd world ghetto... not for the OCD clean freak. Yes service is slow lol there were only 2 other tables occupied in the place. But i understand why, there were 2 aunties in the kitchen hand making my papusa. Oh what a papusa it was! Just plain ol cheese but the best one i have eaten in many years. This little cheese papusa has now inspired me to go on the hunt to find the best papusa in Houston. I was at a really good taco shop the other day that also touted their papusa's but it was a waste of 2 bucks. Their tripe taco was amazing lol but that's a diff review lol. I also ordered the stewed beef short ribs. It was good but i should have listened to the customer sitting near me when i asked for his 2 cents. Papusa, papusa, papusa's all the way!!!
