Just nights ago at 10:10 pm I went to the closest 7-Eleven to the location I was in. I love 7-Eleven they always have good deals on what I need, the people are friendly and they isn't usually a long line.
But, this night my normal run with the well known friendly encounters. Red flag #1 the cashier was pacing back-and-forth. Red flag #2 she had her backpack on as if she was extremely ready to leave. Red flag #3 there was a small line of 3 people. Red flag #4 I was in one of the more crime prone parts of this town.
After about about 5 minutes or so I finally made it to the counter. I as for 2 packs of Newports. I then reach for my wallet and gave her a 50 dollar bill. At this point with the look on her face I knew that all of my spidy senses were spot on! She began yelling " I ain't opening up the safe for that! And we just had shift change too. No! All we do is get robbed over here. I'm not opening no safe!"
Normally I would have asked for their leadership and so forth and so on. But, I was so taken aback in the lack of communication skills, respect for the customers plus unacceptable representation of the company.
Hints, I was speechless! So, I said excuse me? Where she continued on with her rant. I smh and walked out got in my car and located the next nearest 7-Eleven. Mind you gas is expensive and I use premium.
Once I made it to there I informed them of my recent experience and they were floored. Then they explained the shift change process but they informed me that with my purchase they could have completed the sale. Therefore, give me apologies in for her ignorance.
I will not be returning to that location again. #Disheartening ~CoOkIe
