Best american restaurant in San Antonio, Texas (TX) 2024

It has been a very long time since I've eaten at Steak & Shake. Not because I didn't want to. Where I moved from in Arizona there wasn't any. So, the last time I had there burgers was in 2011 when I was in St. Louis. The great taste I remember is still there. The condiment to Meat ratio is perfect, I can taste everything and nothing over powers the other flavors from the meat to the pickles to the dressings. Don't overlook this place if you want a really classic American burger! ~Alfredo

Wow! Probably the best Arby's in the area. Everything was fresh. We got two half pound meals, large. They gave so much curly fries that we only ate one order! The sandwiches were amazing! We had one with cheddar and the other with Arby's sauce yeah! You won't be disappointed! ~Tito

Overall, the service started out great, and than went downhill pretty quickly. The girl I had as a waitress must've had other duties as assigned because I saw her working the area I was seated. I used my Chili's Rewards and I cashed in on a free dessert. Most other Chili's, if you have the app will generally just give you a free bowl of chips because it doesn't cost them anything, and I was by myself. No free bowl of chips here. I then ordered the (3) for $10.99. It has a drink, an appetizer, and an entree. I had a tea, a bowl of chili ($1 upcharge), and the cajun chicken pasta. The portion on the main entree was more than generous and so was the portion for the bowl of chili. (They forgot to bring out the cheese and chips for it but that was a quick fix.) Overall, I had to chase em down for the one refill I got and that was it. They looked like they had a few staff members working. So I figured I would've had a refill readily available. I might come back as long as they weren't busy. And when I got here today they weren't that busy and they sat me close to the bar. I figured since that area was empty, I'd have a better chance at better service. 3 out of 5 stars. Features: Social Distancing guidelines are not in effect or enforced.
