As a first timer to this establishment, I was brought in by my EMS partner because he recommended it. I must admit walking into the facility it was very clean the staff was eagerly waiting to serve you as you walked in and greeted you with a smile. We placed in our orders at the kiosk which was very user-friendly and not complicated in whatsoever of a fashion soon, to be given our order in less than six minutes. Now being a person of my age that has been around the world and then some and has eaten at many different establishments that serve simple burgers and shakes, I was very impressed that the Patty although thin made up in huge flavor! I’m surprised this place has not been put on diners drive-ins and dives but then again it is a franchise not a local mom and pop joint. The shake was simple I ordered the chocolate shake served in a very chilled glass and given a shake size straw to accompany it. Let me just say that it complemented the taste of the burger the shoestring fries were on point you could even add a little bit more of the steak seasoning on the fries I chose not to as I dipped a couple of fries into my shake which was Amazing and delightful! I wish we could take this place and put it in West Texas maybe I may just win the lottery and franchise a couple of these places in El Paso and in West Texas!!!five stars all the way!!!

Great burgers, great milkshakes, superb fries! Clean, not too crowded. Wide selection of burgers are infinitely customizable. As far as I know, it is the only steak and shake in San Antonio. 2 thing's kept it from a 5 star. It doesn't have the variety of a full service sit down steak and shake from up north. Not their fault. The biggest problem was they took the chicken fingers off the menu. My daughter doesn't eat red meat so that was her go to item there. No real options on the menu for non beef eaters.

It filled the void. Funny story. I ordered a burger with no bun. What I got was a clam shell box containing a hamburger with all the toppings between two leafs of lettuce. I asked for a fork and knife, received only the fork and I thought "how am I going to cut this up with a plastic fork?"...I had to use my drivers license as a knife! It worked mind you albeit unorthodox. Come prepared is all I can say anti-bread eaters ;)

They had excellent food and amazing shakes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unlike many restaurants, they warned us that the soda machine was flat before we purchased anything. Haven't seen a Steak 'n Shake in a long time and stumbled upon this one while looking for somewhere to grab lunch. It did not disappoint. Burgers and fries were just as good as I remembered. Instead of wait staff, you order at a touch screen at the counter. Who I assume was the manager was close by and ready to help if needed. The restaurant was very clean, including restrooms. I'll be back!

It has been a very long time since I've eaten at Steak & Shake. Not because I didn't want to. Where I moved from in Arizona there wasn't any. So, the last time I had there burgers was in 2011 when I was in St. Louis. The great taste I remember is still there. The condiment to Meat ratio is perfect, I can taste everything and nothing over powers the other flavors from the meat to the pickles to the dressings. Don't overlook this place if you want a really classic American burger!

Wait time was quick , the environment was great. Has that old school 80’s vibe. Burgers were very delicious. Unique taste, strawberry shake was very sweet and amazing. Friendly Employees, Great place 👍🏽

Seem very understaffed. First time here just a little after lunchtime place was packed and only 3 people working. Small place so fills up quickly and seemed very loud too. Seemed reasonably priced. Really slow to get food due to only two people working. Had to ask for the milkshake to get made. Hope the food was worth the wait.(25 minutes later)! Eh, wasnt the worst but have had better. I like thicker cut fries too. Tables weren't cleaned chairs were dirty too.
