12 Best convenience store in Madison, Wisconsin (WI) 2024

The hours of operation change all of the time and it doesn’t get updated anywhere so you don’t find out until you arrive. I pulled in at the Mineral Point Rd location at 11:45 pm assuming they were 24 hours again like they have been for awhile again now and they were open when i pulled in; and after finishing scratching a lotto ticket, I got out to go inside and all of a sudden at 11:52 Pm all the lights were off and they were closed! I gps’d the nearest gas station which was this location, and with only 10 miles to empty I’m freaking out. Well this store is also listed as 24 hours for the store and they were closed too! Luckily there was another Kwik Trip about 2 miles further out: but what a goose chase that almost left me stranded with no gas. Moral of the story; if you’re almost out of gas and it’s later than 10pm? Call and make sure they’re open because the hours posted online are never updated. ~Adele

Definitely on the low end of the spectrum as far as Kwik Trip locations go. The north entrance is a cluster, good luck getting in and out at that end with all the drivers cutting corners and looking out only for themselves. Building is more dated and smaller than most Kwik Trips - I would say that this branch is in need of a renovation. Gas prices are competitive for the area, and patrons are quite entertaining. ~Joshua

Tap to pay is broken but they refuse to even put out a simple sign to notify anyone. Pumps are broken (unable to put on auto fill) constantly clicking off after every 10 cents. Just do yourself a favor and go to Speedway down the road. ~Megan

Everything went well because THIS time I started by going inside to begin my transaction using my Pick N Save/Kroger Fuel Perks card. ALWAYS a problem if you don't go inside to start. NOT BP's fault but rather screwy programming from PNS/K. It just makes it more of a pain to use the Perks card. ~Cathi

Extremely large fuel islands. Great for RV, trailer and boat fueling. Has all the good stuff needed for road trip or quick bite to eat. ~Sam

Great deals on the Kwik Trip mobile app. Also great daily specials. Mondays get a large iced mocha coffee for $1.19!! Apparently there is now a cup shortage at Kwik Trip. Coffee refills any size for 99 cents!! Glazers donuts are the best! Look for them to go on sale $2.49 for 6. ~Tom
