Best stationery store in Madison, Wisconsin (WI) 2025

My experience bucks the trend seen in the ratings and reviews here. The store was impeccably clean and organized - best I’ve ever seen out of a Walgreens to be sure. Clearly marked aisles made finding what I was after a breeze. The cashier wasn’t too friendly, avoided eye contact, and on occasion completely ignored a question I asked - so knocking a star off for the poor customer service. Overall I’d return for a quick run-in. ~Joshua

i called in a prescription refill and the automated system told me i could pick it up the next day. when i went to pick it up the man at the pharmacy told me he couldn’t refill it since it’s a controlled substance, and i was given a 90 day supply and it had only been about 60. i was definitely out, and i know almost for a fact i didn’t lose or accidentally double up on around 30 decently sized pills, so obviously they didn’t give me 90 (which is frustrating since i payed full price for 2/3 of the medication). i wasn’t expecting them to just give it to me anyways, but i do expect 1) an apology or even an acknowledgment that it could possibly be their fault, as opposed to the blank stare i got instead and 2) for them to fill it right in the first place. of course this happened on a saturday, so i wasn’t able to get a hold of my doctor until monday or get my prescription until tuesday, which makes 4 days of headaches and insomnia that could’ve been easily prevented if they just gave me the right amount right off the bat. ~Katrina
