I really had a horrible experience with the people who packed my house. I’d never paid anyone to do it before so I wasn’t sure how it was supposed to go. After the experience I spoke with several other people who had paid for movers. It turns out, these guys were the worst ever. We had Rich and Andrew. They were probably over worked, putting in long days, but still... if the company is getting paid for a job, it should be done right. Upon arrival and unpacking at the new place, I was completely shocked at the level of disregard there was for our things. I’ve moved A LOT, so I know how moving can go, but they were downright lazy in some respects. I don’t like to call people lazy, but some of our items were completely ruined because they wanted to just shove things, like picture frames with glass into a box that was too small and put out any packing paper around. I also found our printer placed sideways in a box with absolutely NO packing paper around it. I can not believe how horribly done this job was. Seriously... 😝 I would never recommend them to Anyone, ever. I just can’t believe the neglect and disregard for our stuff and us. We moved about 6 months ago, but I’m coming across more things that went wrong and I’m super annoyed and just had to write about it. 😝 I could probably list 50 other things I was super upset about, but I’ll spare you the details. Who SHOVES picture frames (with glass!) into a box that’s too small? 😫 Never again. Never again... ~Emilee

The moving guys were nice. There was damage to one of our new dressers (shown below). The manager, Herman, reached out to me and requested I send photos which I did. However after my payment went though he completely ghosted me ignoring my numerous emails and texts and had no resolution to the damage that was done. Poor customer service for the amount we paid. ~Julie

We hired Two men and a truck for our latest move. We had always moved ourselves before this so we were somewhat apprehensive. With the size of our move we had 4 men and 2 trucks. We were impressed with how hard they worked and how careful they were with our belongings. The best quality though was their teamwork. Whenever one individual needed a boost or help around a corn, someone was always there without hesitation or a request. They seemed to like their jobs and co-workers. Our move was completed in 7 hours which was within the estimate. Nothing was damaged! We would recommend them to anyone. ~Curtis

Big Dog Movers saved the day for me! Having waited until all contract contingencies were met on the condo I was selling, I only had a week to arrange a mover before the closing. I called Big Dog Movers because of a review I read about a person who had their mover not show up and being able to contact Big Dog at the last minute to get their move done. Mike, the owner of Big Dog Movers quickly got in touch with me and had an available date that upcoming Wednesday morning. Even though it rained off and on that morning, Mike and Stephen had everything wrapped and covered preventing any damage and were able to still hustle to get it all moved quickly. They handled large sofas and king mattresses with ease and packed their truck expertly. The move was a little more complicated because I added an extra stop to swap a living room set with my daughter that lived nearby so it was actually a three stop move with some pieces leaving and some added in. Everything I needed set up was done and they had no problem with setting aside anything I wanted to deal with unpacking or arranging myself which saved me money. I thoroughly recommend Big Dog movers for anyone in the Madison area needing a reputable, fairly priced, and most importantly, dependable mover. ~Lizzy
