Byron at the counter was extremely pleasant. It is not his fault his hands were tied. The car given to me had missing window trim, a dent on one side, and multiple scratches around the entire car. Normally no big deal, but this was for a business trip and I would have preferred something in better condition. I was told I would have to pay for an upgrade because they had no other cars in my category.

The customer service representative who assisted me this morning lied to be about whether there be any additional charges, I asked him before putting my initial and signature on the paper. He said, "there will be a $250.00 deposit charges but it will be come off after the vehicle is dropped off with no damage. " And when I turned the vehicle in the receipt had a total of $186.95. I asked what the additional charges were for? The manager said they charged me for mileage, she showed it to me on the paperwork. I told her that I asked the rep were there any additional charges besides what on the paper he said no. She told me I would need to contact that office.

I was overcharged more than $300 for my 3 day rental. We dropped the keys in the designated Dropbox on way into the airport after filling the gas tank less than 3 miles from the airport. They claimed that I returned the car 2 days late but I’m sure their employees just never checked the box. Additionally they charged us for gas but on our paperwork it said we had only added 1 mile to our mileage during our 3 day rental. I have been back and forth with avis and they only reimbursed us for the gas (less than $20) but are refusing to reimburse for the 2 days that they overcharged us. Beware! To the avis representative who responded to my review, I have no way of DM'ing you without you sending me your contact information. I have already sent ALL very thorough documentation to an avis rep who would only reimburse me for 1 gallon of gas. this is unacceptable.

I booked through priceline a day before. I went to pick up rental for 5pm and they were rude and obnoxious and said she didn't have my reservation. I left there upset and being the time of pick up no other alternative. After looking around for other alternatives I just happened to go back and what do you know my reservation was there the whole time. It was a horrible experience that really stressed us out and I would not recommend Avis at all.

Worst ever!!! I would rate zero stars if possible. No flexibility to extend my car. When it comes to international costumers the people are lost. Took me more then an hour to get my car. Never again! Not able to extend the contract one day before it ends. Have to drive there again on the same day when the rental ends and extend my car. I don’t get it

Algorithms that take into consideration when and how many cars will be available should prevent this from happening. To have to stand in line for over 30 minutes while waiting for someone to return a car, with many people in front of me, and then to settle for a car that hasn't been cleaned (pandemic, anyone?) in order to ensure that I wasn't waiting in the airport longer...I won't be using Avis again. When I returned my car, there were lots of people in line again. No one waiting for the many cars available in the parking lot that were for other agencies. Bad business.
