Hello favorite place! They've really got it together and a DIY homeowner will find many treasures. Always check Green Project before shopping anywhere else. It's all well organized and well priced and the staff is delightful.

I could go on for days at the awesomeness of this nonprofit. Please Please please if your ever remodeling your house, camper, or teepee anything you take out, that can be salvaged, bring it here. They will be more than happy to help you unload your stuffs and help others put it to good use at a more than reasonable price. The service that the Green Project preforms is invaluable to the New Orleans community. This place is hopefully a a staple that shall never be added to our "Ain't There No More" list. And if your like me and like to volunteer sign up with them. I promise you won't be disappointed. Thank you Green Project see you again soon!!!!

A great idea. Recycle and reuse building materials. Prices are reasonable and selection is good. Staff is also very helpful.

(When they have proper inventory which Im hopeful will improve) Imagine Shangri-La for anyone that enjoys associating with a hammer! Perfect spot for a creative / DIYer, handy person, or in renovation and you’re on a budget and like a treasure hunt. The staff is super nice and helpful, and the options seem endless. The reasons why I did not leave 5 stars - 1. Prices could be a bit lower.. comparable to competition specific items are a bit over priced. 2. (85% of the issue and what can be improved) The hours of operation / lack there of… It feels like every time I try to go on a whim .. “Closed.” It’s pretty frustrating in the moment and a bit puzzling due to the collectively missed - potential sales opportunities. None of ny business. Awesome none the less!

I’ve been wanting to go to this location for at least 6 to 8 months, but due to auto immune issues and COVID, I waited. But as I walked in yesterday, I laughingly told the Customer Service rep that it was my first time, and she took the time (rare!) to explain the layout of the store & asked what I was hoping to find. As I walked around, you’ll see the treasures both architecture, creative and practical or for the DYI self-contractor because of a storm…this is your place!! There’s even a workroom available!! So…great cause, friendly customer service and a whole building for creative growth & inspiration?? What’s not to love?? Highly Recommend!!

This place is awesome! I feel like they really see the value in old stuff, like I do. They have buckets of nails/screws bolts that are a lil rusty b do the job for cents per pound! I left that store with a bag of nails and some painting tools for 2/3$ and was able to drop off some old lumber knowing it could be useful for somebody for a project!

Went to find this, but was glad to find an aluminum awning replacement and a perfect piece for a perfectly placed crown detail.
