Update from my last review. Kris and staff did it again :-) :-) :-). Oil stain on the garage floor following my last oil change on my FJ Cruiser. What gives? Sliding under the vehicle I find a leaking drain plug and what appears to be a blue plastic plug/washer/repair, I don't know what. Off to Mexico VIP and to make a long story short - wrong drain plug washer. Causing a leak. New plug, new washer, new oil change & filter. Happy camper here and whole episode was WITHOUT hassle. Great Job! Had not been to a VIP for service in at least 15+ years. My last attempt some 2 years ago (NOT THIS STORE) was poor at best. HOWEVER, the 2 young men at the service desk, one Robert (Asst. Mgr.?) & Justine? were clean, neat. pleasant, polite and most of all helpful!!! Great experience!!! Sure, it was a simple oil change and tire rotation BUT it was the fact, that it was a simple service, that makes the "SERVICE" stand out. Will be using this VIP - Mexico, Maine - AGAIN! Had an appointment for snow tire change over, went to drop the car off the night before, and went to leave the keys in the drop box only to find out the drop box is not "drop the key in" and you cant get it back. Its a metal box bolted to the building that anyone can walk up to, open and grab the key from and take your car at ANYTIME, day or night. They also make you sign a piece of paper claiming their not liable if any theft occurs... DO NOT LEAVE KEYS IN THIS BOX! Incredibly unsafe.. Went back in the morning to drop the key off instead, to then later get a call that they will not do the snow tire change over because "one tire is close to the wear bar" But the tires that are almost bald that are on the car are better?? I've also had this place scratch my brand new wheels out of the box, then claim the damage wasn't caused by them, even though I have picture and video proof of the wheels before they were handed over to them for tire dismount. Id rather walk around before letting these people service any vehicle related things for me. 0 Stars.

They had honored their 200% price match guarantee! The staff made recommendations for tires, taking into consideration my husband's use of the vehicle and needs, without being pushy. We got a quote for tires and found them cheaper on the web. The staff filled out the paperwork and we got a gift card from the corporate office for almost $500.

Against my better judgment and VIPs reputation, I scheduled an alignment. Thinking that it could potentially be a waste of time, I added an oil change I KNEW they would perform. They did the oil change but told me that I needed a tierod and refused the alignment. So I took my vehicle to my regular mechanic who swore it didn't need it. So I took it to my other mechanic. Same verdict. VIP can have one star for the oil change and one star for the friendly guy at the desk but they won't ever get my business again. I don't appreciate being lied to and I can only assume it was because I am a woman. This is also why I have regular mechanics with reputable businesses that I trust. They just don't have time for menial tasks like alignments and oil changes because they're busy doing real work and are not taking advantage of people by lying to them. This location lacks that level of thoughtfulness that really makes other businesses shine. A part in my vehicle failed. I showed up and asked them to check the part to confirm my suspicions, it was 8 am. They told me they could have it there by noon. 2pm no luck. 5pm I drive back to location and find out it is there. Then they tell me their mechanics are booked for the next 6 days. A vehicle is the lifeblood of all working people. If there was going to be a week long wait for service they should have shared that with me 8am, not 9 hours later at the end of the day. No apologies, no acknowledgement at all that they just severly impeded my ability to repair my vehicle in a timely manner. Went down the road paid half as much for the same part and installed it myself in less than an hour. SMH.
