I have bought six cars from John Morrison. They all have worked well for me and lasted a long time. The place doesn't look like much, and John often can't give you financing, but you will get a very good car for an inexpensive price. Note: all cars carry salvage titles.

Got a great truck at a great price. As others have said, you have to know going in that these vehicles have been totaled and are now repaired. Ask questions, and if you are comfortable with the history of the vehicle you want, you can get an incredible deal. John treated me very well. I was out of town but he held the car for me for a few days until I could get there; simply because I called him first. My truck has been looked at by multiple mechanics and all have given me the thumbs up.

I have bought two vehicles from Khalsa Cars. Both have been in great condition and were great prices! The first car that I purchased was a 2002 Civic Si (a little sleeper performance car). I was just looking for a Honda Civic Hatchback at the time and didn’t know a thing about it, but John is a car enthusiast, so he educated me on my little car (he was right as my own research after my purchase revealed). I'd have kept that car forever if it hadn't been in an accident (not my fault for the record). After that, I bought a used car from another dealer (that had a clean Carfax) and had nothing but mechanical problems. At that time, I didn’t have enough experience with dealers to know that they weren’t all the same. I learned my lesson and went back to Khalsa for my current car. This time I bought a 2005 Honda CR-V. I’m still driving it and it is still solid! That says a lot, because I have a two-hour round-trip commute to and from work every day. John is easy to work with, stands behind his cars and the work they do, and has been in business forever. He'll give you the history behind the car that you're interested in and details about any work they’ve done. The cars I bought had previously been salvage title cars at some point, but they were already Maryland re-inspected (this is not your gas station site inspection, it is done at one of the State of Maryland facilities) and had their new titles. (FYI: if it hasn't changed, Maryland issues a straight title as if it was never a salvage. When my 1st car was totaled, I received full blue book value. It was the first car that I'd ever taken out a loan to purchase and the bank treated it the same as a car that had never had a salvage title. If you need a car, don’t have all the money on hand, and your bank doesn’t loan on it, there are banks out there that will.) I say all this, because I was wary of the word “salvage” initially, but they cherry pick their cars, don’t do frame damage as far as I understand, and don’t do cars where the safety equipment was compromised. They try to pick good cars that need superficial body damage fixed. I tend to limit my car budget, look for older cars that look good and have relatively low miles to keep my insurance down while I run those commuter miles up, and vehicles with expectations of long high mileage life spans. Again, I say this because, when you’re buying with those requirements, there are a lot of lemons out there and a lot of unscrupulous people selling them. John’s got a range of vehicles from almost brand new to the early/mid-2000s. He’s got price ranges for every budget…and I was tempted to break mine this time around (a beautiful almost new Crosstrek caught my eye but I resisted)…no regrets, I love my CR-V. My only recommendation would be to call before you drive over. It's a small, personal, hands on business. I tend to thread the needle as far as time is concerned and have ended up there with a limited window of time when John was not at the site. He’s a wealth of knowledge and the person that has to do the paperwork, so it’s helpful to have him there. I want my car to run forever, but when it’s time, I’ll be back for my 3rd vehicle.

Bought a 2012 Prius V. Got a great deal. Car is good quality and runs great. I live in Virginia. John communicated with me every step of the way to make sure the title and registration got transferred properly. Highly recommended.

Are they real? I called to inquire about a car I saw online and the guy hung up in my face. He wouldn't answer my calls when I called back.
