I finally purchased my dream car (Porsche) for my 50th birthday a couple years ago. I started out taking it to the Porsche dealership for routine maintenance, needless to say their rates were astronomically high. I searched the internet for auto mechanics that work on Porsches. This is when I discovered Auto Centro. Paulo has been a major blessing to me. His knowledge and professionalism is second to none. He truly cared about me as a customer. He found issues wrong with my car and asked if the vehicle was still under warranty. Thank God it was! The car had an oil and coolant leak. Being a lady, sometimes it seems we are taken advantage of when it comes to these issues. He went the additional step of calling the Porsche dealership explaining to them the issues and asked them to look at my car right away. Porsche continued to tell me, there were no leaks. Paulo explained how I needed to document this so I would be covered. Months later when I went back to Auto Centro for an oil change, Paulo stated the leak was still there and was worse. Again, he took pictures and called the warranty people for me. I took my car back to the Porsche dealership, showed them the pictures and this time, they finally agreed and fixed it. Paulo and his Team are just incredable !! Professionell and friendly at the same time. I came with my VW Sycro 1995 being on a road trip from coast to coast. Needless to say, that they have never seen this model of a VW Van before - but they sure fixed it and brought me back on the road in no time. This involved also getting a German (Bosch) pump from Washington D.C. and getting it in on the same day. I can strongly recommend AutoCentro not only because of their mechanical knowlege but also because of the friendly and prompt e-mail and phone communication with Tony and Sue. I recently found these guys through a friend and ended up purchasing one of my dream cars, a used E90 M3 from them. Although it needed some major and minor repair work done to it, they were able to work with me and make it run again. The previous owner had spun a bearing and basically blew the engine, once they rebuilt the engine, the car was running stronger than ever. It also needed some body work I wanted to be fixed, specifically the rear bumper (mainly cosmetic, but trust me it was an eyesore) By the time it was all buttoned up, they had repaired the bumper. I couldn't believe how well it turned out. it looked like it had just came from the factory, I was astonished when I saw it. I absolutely do not regret my purchase from them, they have been more than helpful and have the knowledge to answer any of my questions. I highly recommend them. Two weeks ago, the temp was in the teens...as I got into my car one morning I tried to adjust the rear view mirror..it broke off in my hand! A clean break right off the window. Visit to the Audi dealer (I have an AudiA6) and was told rear view mirror was integral to the windshield and would need to replace the whole thing..costing approx$2500. I took the mirror back and drove to Auto Centro in Rockville. They came out and took a look and asked me to come back in the afternoon when their windshield guy would be there. Within 15 minutes of arriving the windshield guy glued a new base to the windshield and asked to let it harden for a few days...back on Monday and the mirror was attached! And it works! And ...the best part..it was only $69.75 to repair!! A savings of $2430!! A huge thanks to Paulo and Tony. THANK YOU!! Service: Auto glass repair

Paulo should be ashamed of himself, he kept my Defender for 30 days for something as simple as pulsating brakes and a basic 30,000 miles service with a $4,700 bill. The truck was returned to me with more problems than what it had before i brought it in. They charged me for work that was NOT performed (I caught them right before I left) and installed parts for a DIFFERENT model. They replaced parts that were new (i have them in my possession now and they still have the original labels on them) and DID NOT TEST DROVE my truck after they performed the work !!!!!!!!!!! The photos on their page are not of the shop, they're from a separate storage facility, your car will be parked OUTSIDE in that front junkyard. Their mechanics are so bad that not only installed the wrong parts BUT they also messed up my parking brake, causing it to get stuck after parking and zapped the electrical by performing work without disconnecting the battery. I tried to discuss this with Paulo but all he does is to blame other people and NEVER takes responsibility. After several Japanese Domestic Market automotive centers in Alexandria, Virginia refused to even look under the hood of my 1991 Nissan Figaro, I asked a former colleague, who is a car enthusiast, for a recommendation. That is how I found Auto Centro - by word of mouth. If have a unique car (or any car) that needs to be repaired, look no further. Excellent diagnostics that solve mechanical problems, knowledgeable staff that actually help you understand the repair options, and they have great mechanics to do the work. My situation. I had to replace the engine. No one else would even touch my car. So, when I called Auto Centro, they Googled my car and simply said “yes, we can do this.” No drama. I shipped the engine from The Figaro Shop in England directly to AutoCentro. So, they received a big box of parts. They worked with The Figaro Shop to solve the unexpected challenges. My experience is limited to one quirky car. But, Auto Centro’s work and attention to detail exceeded my expectations. Service: General repairs & maintenance
