The pharmacy is the worst. I purchased an eyedrops (oropatadine, just for allergy redness and itchiness)prescribed by my former pcp for 247 dollars, while there are plenty of alternatives you can get by the counter for about 10 bucks. The physician at Walgreens didn’t mention that at all. When I called to question them, the lady on the phone refused to admit that there were alternatives, and literally laughed at me for paying 247 and told me I can’t return it because it’s their policy.

i was an employee at walgreens. i always made it to work even if it was a few minutes late. sometimes my whole shift im standing in the register and personally i cant becausse my knee is messed up. and when i told them about it they didnt really care unless i had “proof of a doctors note”. i was offered a chair and then i was told “it’s unprofessional to sit down” an hour later but if my knee is in pain what can i do? i still showed up for work because no one cared. there was times where i got no sleep and was still begged to come into work because no one was working and it was put onto me. and i constantly picked up shifts because i needed the money. one day i just needed a day off because my knee hurted and the boss of the store tells me “it looks like you dont want to work here” over my knee hurting.. and i was still a minor at the time. i only worked there for a few months and quit in july because the people there are so rude and dont care at all. and all the other employees i was friends with would agree with this. no one liked working here.

Waited in the pharmacy with a fussy baby for 45 minutes with two cars in front of me. The person at the window rang the bell three times and no one answered before I left without even getting my medication. Being short staff isn't an excuse anymore. This is absurd.

Everytime I go there, it takes so long my entire schedule gets ruined just for a pickup order. I have waited for 25 minutes for them to take 2 cars in a three car line. It is not because of complications in any individual order because this constantly happens. The other one on Middlesex street is worse because they literally don't give you the prescriptions because they're always out of stock or don't know how to transfer scripts or deal with insurance in any proper manner. Terrible service and I can't just sleep before my second job, and personally I can no longer study today like I was supposed to. Why? Walgreens on plain st in lowell...

I would rate this place a -5 if I could this place is terrible I came here at 12-noon to drop pills off wich took the 20 mins at the window then they told me it would be ready at 1:30 then I came back to pick up the medications at 1:50 they told me 30 more minutes so I was aggravate so I waited until 2:15 then they were still not done so I flipped out on them saying I want the medication now wich they told me I need to wait another 15 minutes the pharmacy is terrible and needs to fire all there employees and get people who will actually get the job done by when they say/on time

Been a customer at the pharmacy since 2005 but today I decided to switch to a different pharmacy because since Covid they have been so slowww in terms of getting medicines out to customer( usually at least 30-40 mins at the drive-through). Today I had to get down to the pharmacy because my mom prescription had no more refill so normally they would fax her provider to get a new prescription and everything would be all set but nope I spent about 1.5 hours calling them explaining that the provider already faxed over a new refill order( they have confirmation number) but Walgreen’s staff kept insisting they didn’t get it. I would ended up calling my mom provider again and again to confirm this information, it’s been 72 hours and still the same problem. I called walgreen back and asked them nicely to call the provider because they kept telling me they already faxed it over. The person on the line refused to call my mom provider, they all said they’re too busy and it isn’t their responsibility to call since they already faxed it. I basically said thank you and went straight on site to ask one of the pharmacist to call for me since my mom is out of her medication. She was nice enough to call for me, took only 5 mins and I got the medicine within 45 mins. Things would’ve been so much easier if the staff would just calls instead of telling customers they already faxed refills order and there’s nothing more they can do.

Anyone who has ever used this pharmacy and gave it more than 1 star is obviously being paid for the review. This is BY FAR the worst pharmacy I have ever used. 3x now I have come to pick up medicine that should have been ready at 8am and at after 5pm I've been told it's not ready yet and it will be a minimum of 2 hours. Tried calling on the phone to check if they're ready and I waited for over an hour only to get hung up on the second someone "answered" This place is HORRIBLE

This place has the rudest pharmacy employees. May it be in person and specially over the PHONE! If you’re tired of your job just quit!! Don’t make people’s lives miserable just because you’re not happy with your job. I can imagine old people calling for help and impatient people like these will answer. It’s terrible!!!

this specific 5 star goes to Allen K that works in the pharmacy. tonight I went in to get a prescription and was helped by some employee that lacked knowledge with customer service, first she told me it would be ready in 20 minutes, while I was waiting she kept skipping me and assisting other customers, knowing i was waiting and 20 minutes had already passed, other employees kept staring at me and not offering help, until 30 minutes later Allen K punched in and FINALLY he was the one to help me , he even told me my prescription had been ready. Thankfully he stepped in and I was properly taken care of. He is a great pharmacist , however the other staff lack customer service skills.

Don't go here if you need to travel, test result will not be a turnaround of 48 hour as staff stated. I waited over 72 hour for my covid test result when crossing a board result must be within 72 hour from negative. There wasn't even a confirmation when my specimen sample got collected like other places. Again, don't use walgreen if you plan on traveling or need test result under 72hour.
