Unethical sellers. They placed a listing on Facebook Marketplace for a desk we responded too. She agreed to sell it to us. She knew we were coming all the way from NH to Newton a 2 hour drive. We messaged her before we left. She said “great”. Five minutes before we showed up she called us and said she can’t sell it to us. We told her we drove two hours and that we had an agreement. She started crying and saying she needed to pay her rent, which we have no idea how us buying a table from her would make her not be able to pay her rent. More likely someone offered her more money and she decided it was in her best interest to not honor her contract with us. In this business your word is everything. Very bad way to do business.
