I just paid my annual fee of $166.00 and checked on an order shortly after only to find that the post office shipped it back. I NEVER GOT A NOTICE IN MY PO BOX to indicate that the order had arrived! One of many tales, but something has got to change. Please?!!!!

The USPO mission statement is “to provide the nation with reliable, affordable, universal mail service.” The statement highlights the main duty of this agency. Its fulfillment shows that it: 1) Improve lives 2) Exceeds expectations The employees at the Oak Bluffs US Post Office fulfill their mission statement by marking up my mail before putting them in my PO Box which means they EXCEED my EXPECTATIONS: I never thought they could be so passive-aggressive. FYI: Pound signs (#) are an acceptable substitution for "PO Box". According to Publication 28 - Postal Addressing Standards 213.2 Pound Sign (#): If the pound sign (#) is used, there must be a space between the pound sign and the secondary number. Just do your freakin' work and try, try, try to perform it like you care!

if i could i would give this joint less than zero stars. the supervisor needs a supervisor and a few lessons on bedside manners. oh, she's also inept. trying to convince me that her post office doesn't have a box number *&^* when i'm standing there in front of her w/ mail i just got out of my box that has box number *&^* written all over it. she then had the nerve to tell me there was no package there for me, refused to listen to my tracking number, and then found it anyway. the entire staff talks down to people and/or looks at you like you have 59 heads. i may have two or three, but not 59. i also try to be nice to people. this last bit wasn't part of their onboarding process, i suspect. other than that? i love this place.

Once again, the Oak Bluffs PO staff lives up to their reputation. If they can find a reason to refuse to deliver to a PO Box, they do - and with vigor! I tried to have a small package delivered to my PO box and my vendor said, 'nope, tracking shows it being returned.' As someone else posted here, SHUT THEM DOWN!

What can I say that hasn't already been said in the other reviews here? Out of all my negative experiences in this place, there's a common thread: the employees will deny any remote possibility that THEY made any mistake, and will condescendingly shift all the blame onto you. "The last employee wasn't looking for your package in the wrong place, it was YOUR fault for not handing in a plastic express package slip!" (I did hand one in.) "We MUST have delivered it, your other family members just picked it up without telling you." (If they did, I wouldn't be here.) The irony of finding out they've lost the Christmas presents you ordered, while the post office itself is covered with posters about how "USPS delivers holiday magic!" Wouldn't that entail actually delivering something?

Terrible at delivering packages. Just terrible. I lost 8 pounds of fruit because they never bothered to inform my family it had arrived and, even telling them it had not when it had, then sending it back a month later. Shame on them.

They never delivered a card that I sent to my wife working here for the summer. When I went in today to try to find out something about, the old man suggested it was my fault it didn't get delivered. I'm sorry!?? I'm 48 years old. I know how to address, stamp and mail something. I've done it a few times in my life. Also the line is so slow. How do you only have one rude person working such a busy post office. This place is a shining example of why the USPS is going into the toilet.

Everyone that works here is absolutely so rude. I am so sweet and nice every time to all of them. I understand how post offices work and every time they talk to me like I’ve never used or been in one. The worst part is, I will be right about a package every time and they’re the ones that messed up. They don’t apologize or have any remorse. They’re even more mad that they were wrong. It’s a pretty standard job. Yes, there are annoying people but that is also part of the job. If you get a customer that is nice, don’t be rude. If you don’t like your job, quit. Don’t make our lives difficult because you’re miserable.

There was a long line but they processed everyone’s mail quickly.
