Kay Jewelers told me my Movado needed to have the entire watch mechanism replaced and it would be $150. I explained I was certain it was just a dead battery. They sent it out to their jeweler who confirmed the inside needed replaced for $150. I took my watch to another jeweler and there was a loose battery lever. After tightening it and cleaning the watch, I had a working watch and out the door in 15 minute for $12. Kay jewelers is not my regular jeweler but they were close. I will not be making any purchases here.

One star is gracious for my husband and mine's experience here. The short version is we ended up requesting a refund on a layaway. The lady helping us (who I believe was named Elaine) said okay and started to do whatever is necessary in the system to initiate that transaction. She then told us that she didn't know how to do refunds and would have to have someone else process the refund for us. The store was slightly busy so there was no available associate, that could work the system, to refund us our payment. Elaine then spoke to the other associate on the floor, a Morgan, and let us know when that Morgan was done with her customer, Morgan would help us. Elaine then went off to help another customer. At this point we were getting upset. Morgan finished with her customer and then instead of coming to process our refund, greeted another customer and started working with them. My husband sees this and looks at me. I tell him I have no problem cancelling the entire thing. This ring is only an object and we can find something as good or better somewhere else. After another fifteen minutes or so, James comes back out and immediately starts working on our refund. I assume Elaine had told him as he did not say anything to us at that time. My husband tells James we want to be refunded the entire amount and cancel the layaway. James says okay and less than three minutes later we have a receipt for the refund. It amazes me that it took three employees to erase a sell and process a refund.

I have shopped her for all of my jewelry needs for over 20 years. The selection is excellent, prices are reasonable. Staff is helpful but not pushy. I have always been told if an item I'm purchasing is about to go on sale or how to save money on it. I only shop here every 1 to 2 years and almost always the staff is different.

I understand it is the Jewelers fault not the actual store employees fault but I just wanted to put this out there. My first engagement ring was sized and after just over a year of having it, the piece they put it to size it came out. I was furious so I took it to every jewelry store in battle Creek except for Kay to see if they were willing to fix it. Nobody would touch it because it was Sterling silver and it would just happen again because it is so cheaply made. Well after a lot of reluctance I have in and took it back to Kay Jewelers after 6 months of letting it sit on a shelf. I picked it up yesterday and today went to put it on and the rose gold plate on it is now coming off. Broken off at one end of the ring. My fiance bought me a new engagement ring 9 months ago and I can already see where they sized it. That was the problem with my other ring and I was told their was nothing they could do about it. Not long after that the ring broke so now I am just waiting for my new ring to break. Needless to say I am done doing any business with Kay Jewelers anywhere. If you want cheap jewelry and crappy service they are the place to go

The Kay JewelersBattle Creek location, employee's and their management team are he crown jewel of local Jeweler's. You can get the same jewelry at any jewelry store but you can't get the same incredible service that this store offers to their customers. The assistant mangerTerry though is young he comes from the old school friendly customer service jewlers. Is every transaction perfect? No but what they do is make you feel that you are the most important person they have at that moment, they are friendly, and insure you the customer are their friendand will go out of their way to explain every item of the transaction and they back up their products with a very good warranty. Moreover, if they do make a mistake they own, fix it and never let you leave unhappy. They now have me as a customer for life. In this day and age of poor customer service being the norm it's nice to know there is a company that puts customer service and quality above all else.

Staff was personable and well informed. I explained what my needs were, and they quickly will able to not only answer my questions but see that I had what I needed on my visit. I would definitely recommend visiting their store for all your jewelry needs.

When I went into the store I had my 8 year son with me. I informed the staff that I was there to pick up a gift Santa had sent for my sons mom. The staff played right along with it and my son was amased and is still talking about the expirence. Great job and thumbs up to the Lakeview Mall Elf staff.

When we brought my girlfriends ring in to be resized the Manager was extremely discourteous and rude. Shoved warranties down our throat stating that our ring was basically garbage and if we didn't buy a warranty we'd just being paying a ton to fix down the road. I understand letting a customer know, however when you go to lengths of making them feel concerned about their purchase, that's a problem. Worst jewelry Manager I've ever done business with.

Every time I have had a question or concern they have always helped me out! They are very friendly and always know who I am when I walk in and have my account pulled up. Hardly ever have to wait more then 10 minutes to speak to someone.
