I took some time to think about my experience with Kay Jewelers. Overall, the associates almost always treated me with respect. On the off day, I was told that they couldn't check on something for us because they were "busy with actual customers". After talking to the Assistant Manager, Josh, the conflict was resolved. Josh's customer service was 100% the reason I did not cancel my order through the whole ordeal. He is a superstar. The manager, Dani, told us our ring would be in mid-December, but we didn't get it until last week, 9 weeks late. It was excuse after excuse. If she would have told us it would be 10 weeks it would have been fine but she continuously told us "a few days". When I called her out on it, she denied saying anything about it being in on an earlier date. The store is very bad at answering the phone. It usually takes about 25-30 calls to actually get through to someone ( I know that sounds crazy but I don't have the time to drive 3 hours to go to the store to talk to somebody). Also, if they tell you that they will call you back, DO NOT TRUST THEM. I NEVER received a call back the entire 2 months. We were given the wrong ring, that was damaged in January, but we have the correct ring now and we love it. (photos are of damaged ring)

I have received a lot of online Kay Jewelers purchases as gifts, decided to do an exchange I received for Valentine's Day the first and only time I wanted to do an exchange. They were limited on merchandise, but the young man that took the time and patience to assist me he was so professional and informed about the stores merchandise. When I left the store I didn't leave with my birthstone ring because they didn't have it which left me to make a different purchase. Again thank you for cleaning the jewelry that was was another purchase from Kay Jewelers you made it look like new. Thank you!

Staff has changed dramatically in the last 6 months. Did not feel nearly as professional. May not go back for diamond check as I don't feel confident in their knowledge.

Although my experience with kay was not the best at first, the new manager and store employees fought hard to try to get me what I wanted, unfortunately due us not seeing eye on the situation, I have moved on elsewhere, I may not choose kay this time but the new staff and manager they have on duty will be getting my future buisness for thier dedication to making it right.

Lisa was very helpful! My warrenty information was not in the new system. She was more than happy to help me without any issue. Very friendly staff. She even shared an upcoming event that was suggested and needed.

doesn’t even deserve one star. this place is a joke. don’t even waste ur money. they lost my ring TWICE. never gave me any info on the ring after telling me SEVERAL TIMES that I would get a call back, i heard nothing. this wouldn’t be an issue if they knew how to communicate.

I wish I could give 0 stars! They told me my ring is back from service but can’t find it in the store. Never got an email or phone call when my other ring was ready for pick up. I’ve been calling this store for 2 weeks with no answer. I’ve escalated it with corporate and STILL no response! I have been going to this same store since 2008 and never had any problem. I get they are understaffed and it will change things but that excuse can only last so long and also does not give them a reason to be rude to the customer or avoid the issue at hand!

I had an absolutely horrible experience at This location. After losing seven diamonds out of my ring over a span of four years. Among numerous other issues. I was finally told the ring was unfixable. The manager who’s name is Daniel, Refused to refund my warranty money. She also repeatedly called me honey even after being asked to not address me that way. Why in the world but I not get my warranty money back, for a ring that they now have. What’s the point of a lifetime warranty. After addressing this issue with Danielle she then hung up the phone. I am still waiting for this issue to be resolved. Absolutely repulsive customer service!!

If I could give a zero I would. It took.us over 19 months to recieve our ring for our wedding. The experience was a joke and no one in that store cared or took it seriously. Promised on NUMEROUS occasions our ring would be by such and such a date. Was NEVER there. No one knew where it was, it was always excuse after excuse. Then they tried to pass of a different ring (horrid) from what we ordered. Thanks to a corporate representative (Kathy) we received the ring the day before our wedding.

What has happened to this store? My husband purchased my wedding ring at this location in 2005. Religiously I brought it in every 6 months. A little over a year ago my stones were loose and needed to be fixed. Not to get to specific they ruined my ring ( actually melted it). Corporate stepped in and made things right. So let’s fast forward to now when I brought it in for a check up and it took two more times to get it fixed. Came in got sent back got it back and diamonds fell out the next day. So here is where the story gets interesting. Corporate in good faith decided to make me an offer to trade in my ring and start fresh. A offer I refused a year ago because I just wanted my ring. Unfortunately my ring was not the same and causing to many problems since they ruined it. So Jasmine from corporate called Timothy the Novi manager to inform him we are on our way in and this is the deal. Timothy was NOT happy with the offer they were giving me and pretty much said it was to much to give me. So when we arrived he already had an attitude to help us and made us wait because he wanted to argue the offer and wanted to wait to speak to his District Manager. When he finally came over he was rude to the point that he was annoyed we stepped foot in his store. He barely spoke to us never made eye contact when asked what rings fell in my price range he would not clarify. Never even tried to show or suggest a setting. My daughter was so angry at how I was being treated she left the store ( without me knowing) and called corporate back and said you need to send us elsewhere and how extremely rude and inconsiderate Timothy ( manager) was and how he was saying bad things about the corporate office. First off Timothy I purchased my ring from your store and what gives you the right to argue what corporate says. How dare you treat customers that way I DID NOT DAMAGE my ring you did. So we left and drove to the Farmington Hills store where we had the best experience and such fun designing my new ring. Now that store has CLASS and knows how to treat customers with RESPECT. Shame on you Novi especially Timothy. I suggest they get a new manager. will never step foot in that store again!!! We bought many items over the years from them but not anymore I would rather go out of my way to go to another store then step foot back in Novi.
