We were leaving for home and our mountaineer had noise we knew it wasn’t right!!!! A+ automotive shop helped right away! Parts brought in and the team worked on it right away! Wheel bearings could have been a disaster on highway for sure what a BLESSING we made it to shop and also right now blessed to be home safe and sound!!! Owner is a crook. Payed for our title and taxes directly to him- it's been about 7 months and secretary of state insists they never got the paperwork. Owner refuses to take our calls or respond to us at all. I'm forced to assume he pocketed the cash and never turned in the paperwork. I would never send anyone here. Even thou the girls are working the place, Fuzzy and Joyce are there to give you the old time ma and pop home feeling, it is not a custom shop or high end performance shop, but a place that you can enjoy a coffee and service.

The tow truck driver was prompt, efficient, nice, and concerned making sure we were ok. He came at 11pm and unlocked the van. I would call them again if I ever needed help!

We needed an emergency Repair to get us back to the Detroit Area and they worked us in. Dan (Mechanic) and Katheryn (Office/Sales Associate) got us in Pronto (when no one else could or would), on a Friday no less. They drove me home and then picked me up after the repair was done. I can not say how grateful we are for their kind and wonderful service. I would recommend them to anyone and their ability to repair your vehicle quickly and to your expectations.

I was driving home from camping near Hubbard Lake on Memorial Day 2013 with 2 teenagers and a 9-year old when a belt in our tire broke, shredding the tire and leaving us stranded south of Whittemore. After sitting for over an hour and calling other towing services in the area who were less than helpful, a man pulled up in his truck and asked if we needed help. We did not have a spare or a jack. He said he worked at a tire business in Hale. He used his own floor jack, took the tire and rim off the car, went to A+ Automotive in Hale to change the tire, and brought it back and changed it for us. He would only accept payment for the tire ($25.00), gave us his business card, and waited for us to get back on the road. He had to jump start our battery as it had died while we were sitting on the side of the road with doors open to keep cool. Arik went above and beyond, sacrificing his time and gas to help us on a beautiful summer holiday afternoon. I highly recommend A+ Automotive for any auto service you may need in the Hale, Tawas, and Glennie area. As their business card says, they are truely there "for all your stranded needs"!
