My mother went and had her hair styled for Mother's Day and it ended up being a nightmare! I have no clue what products were used, but later that evening it was just falling out in large clumps. When brought to the attention of the staff, the owner asked her to come in so they could try to figure out what was causing this reaction.They essentially ended up doing some type of treatment (I would assume a keratin treatment) because my mom isn't sure what process was utilized. However, my poor mom's hair is currently in a state that I've only ever seen once before... (and that's because I tried to use a product "at home" that is absolutely not made for my type of hair)! We are Native American and I used a relaxing agent made for coarse hair...which apparently is never to be used on my hair type. My hair was absolutely FRIED, and my mother's hair looks and feels precisely the same as mine did. I cannot say for certain that is what happened because I was not present at the time of her appointment, but I do know that she has never had an issue like this before. As of this morning she isn't sure what to do about this whole situation because whatever treatment was performed didn't help at all, there is literally nothing we can do to help her. She can't even style it. So sadly & unfortunately she has been keeping it pulled back in a ponytail. I wish there was something that I could do for her, but it seems almost inevitable that she will have to have her hair cut extremely short, and hopefully it will grow back quickly!

I have been going to Crome Salon and getting my hair done by Amanda for close to 4 years now, her magic never ceases to amaze me! I go in with a pic of what I'm interested in and let her go with it and I've never been disappointed. The owner Regina and the rest of the staff are always pleasant and friendly.

I already go to Chrome for my haircut and absolutely love Amanda but now i have another reason to love Chrome! I have had 2 facials with Robin and I can't rave enough about her! It is the most soothing 1 and 1/2 hours you will ever experience! My skin felt amazing after and I was the most relaxed I have been in ages! If you have never had a facial you need to go see Robin!

Great salon--relaxing atmosphere, high end products without Manhattan prices. My hair always comes out looking terrific so today I decided to try a facial. It was wonderful! And what a nice surprise there was a special deal. So worth it to be truly pampered. I will definitely do this again.

Better than reviews!! I am new to New York and have had several disappointing experiences at salons. Chrome Salon in Florida, NY is fabulous. Comtemporary, clean, inviting, professional,perfect! Ashley was my stylist and was the consumate professional. My hair was perfect when she finished. Color and cut outstanding. Service and enviroment also top notch. I highly recommend.
