The Hillsdale Post Office is supposed to be a place you can go to process a passport request. My daughter called in the morning and they said she could come in to get my granddaughter's passport from 10 a.m. to 3:30. (BOTH parents have to be present when requesting a passport for a minor.) She and her husband and child went in at 3:10 with all the appropriate documentation already filled out. All they had to do was hand it in and pay the fees. No one was there who could or would process a passport. Not everyone can get off work in the middle of the day to do this, and the very least you should expect when you do is that the personnel at the post office will be able to do their job. Otherwise, they should not say they are a passport processing facility. Same thing happened to another family member when dealing with the Hillsdale Post Office. This does not seem like a very professional way to do business.

I called to ask if the 3.6 million free newsletters and free constitutions sent out by Hillsdale College every month are mailed by our local post office bringing jobs to this area. A VERY RUDE woman said it was "private". I was like, "ma'am, you are a government worker! That volume of mail shouldn't be a state secret" and she wouldn't tell me. Kind of odd that Imprimis is mailed with a non profit discount costing the United States Postal Service millions of dollars in revenue a year, but a taxpayer who pays for that discount and pays the salary of the workers can't ask a simple question of their own government worker!
