This location does not have emerald aisle, not does it even allow to bypass the counter. You must stop at the counter and their selection is terrible. Only bright side is my company is paying for it. If I ever fly into this airport again I'll pay out of pocket and use a competitor to get something better for me.

I wish I could give a negative 10 stars when it comes to service from this organization. I booked a car on 4/29/2022 with Priceline and this company was who I was directed to. I received a call from an individual that stated that he worked for the company and that there were not any cars available at this location. Today is 5/2/2022 I noticed that my credit card was charged for the full amount of the vehicle. I contacted Priceline and was told to contact National Car Rental so they would be able to verify I never received the vehicle. I called and spoke with someone named "Trey" because he said that he did not feel comfortable giving me his name (?). I asked Trey could he contact Priceline, per requested from a representative of Priceline, to inform them that I had not received the vehicle as a rental to receive my refund. "Trey" stated that was not his duty and that I would have to take that up with Priceline. Funny because I was tasked at calling this organization to call Priceline to confirm that they didn't have any vehicles. My card should not have been charged in the first place. If I can be notified that there are not any vehicles available then the agency that books the reservations should also be notified also. Furthermore, the level of customer service is horrible when it came to getting the matter resolved. "Trey" stated that he would call and I assumed that he was actually going to call then. He then stated that he couldn't promise anything, which I can understand. Just as the conversation was about to end I asked "Trey" what my name was. Which he never once asked for. I couldn't believe that he ever had the intentions on helping with the matter because without a name he wouldn't know who he was helping. Customer service was null and void when it comes this situation. I will be speaking with someone from their corporate office regarding this individual.

You should not just give away a customers reservation because they are late. I assumed if I made a reservation and didn't show up I would be charged a fee, similar to a hotel. I arrived late and was told there was no car for me. While I was waiting for someone to come and pick me up I spoke with two other customers who had the same experience. One had come in before me and was waiting and the other I observed having the same experience as myself. If you refuse to change your policy you should at the very least communicate to customers your expectations. I reviewed my confirmation email and there was nothing in it about losing my reservation if I was late. The manager of the location assured me if I had clicked on the terms and conditions link that it would be found in the small print. He said he was sorry countless times but repeatedly defended the policy and compared it to a dinner reservation, the implication being it should be common sense. I was at least the third customer that hour who failed to meet the managers intelligence expectations. I think it's a bad policy, but if it's imperative to operate this way include it in a conspicuous location during booking and in the confirmation. A phone call or email would also be nice. That would seem like common sense to me.

I have been an executive elite with National for over 16 years, and I have never had issues with any of the other locations all around the globe with the exception of this location. The type persons that get hired here are extremely unprofessional and I have watched this over the years. I had a reservation for a full size vehicle, the branch manager, I believe his name was " Ceilic" grabbed a mid size vehicle keys and gave me the keys, when I asked him if he read the reservation as its for a full size vehicle, he snatched the keys from my hand and started becoming very rude and refused to give me any rental vehicle. He was very disrespectful and extremely unprofessional, and I was very shocked with his attitude. I contacted the National customer care number to explain the situation. They offered me three free days to drop the complaint which I refused and asked to be called back by his supervisor/ district manager as this is not acceptable. It's been at least 8 weeks and I still haven't received a call back yet.

I rented at Lansing airport. Upon arrival, there was no one at the counter. There was no note indicating when someone might return. I tried phoning and no one answered. With no choice, a second customer and I waited. I went out to the car lot to find someone.....no one. All of the other customers renting vehicles from the 3 other companies finished their business and departed. Twenty-five minutes after our arrival at the counter, the maskless employee arrived with his take out meal in a bag. No apologies for his tardiness. We asked him to put on a mask as we were inside. He refused stating that he was vaccinated. So were we. And we were not asking for something extraordinary, simply some customer service. From there our rental went fine. The Lansing airport National rental car needs to work on Customer Service immediately.

Had a 10am reservation — flight landed at 10:25 and got to the desk at 10:30, and the regional branch manager said that because I was a “no-show” they would not honor the reservation and instead gave the car I reserved away to someone else. He said there was a car shortage and they reserve the right to give cars away instead of honoring rentals. This was a prepaid “non-refundable” reservation and....they wouldn’t honor it and gave my car away... and then on top of that it was a huge challenge to try to get a refund. Bananas

It's nice when you can skip the lines and go straight to the lot and pick out your car. The only time I had an issue with national is when the key fob batteries went dead and they told me it would take 3 to 4 hrs too help me when I needed to go to work. They told me to go to Walmart and get batteries but l had no car. So I was not happy with that, otherwise everything has been good. Note that if a car needs an oil change Don't put it back on the lot for someone else to take. Take care of your vehicles.

One person here was unhelpful to the point of offering to cancel my reservation, and seemed happy to do it. I had a friend rent the same day and problems with him. His coworker was great to work with, and the rental went great. When I found out that we forgot something in the car, I had the opportunity to work with two more employees, who were also great. I'll rent here again, but I'll careful who I deal with. If you get a grumpy guy or bad attitude, just try to work with someone else.

I rented a car in advance online from National Rental Car. The staff that assisted me when I arrived to Lansing MI was wonderful. I realized the car I received in advance was too small for my needs. Ariel (sp) graciously changed my reservation and got me into a better fitting model. I had reserved satellite radio service and Ariel changed that for me too. Assured me it would take approximately 30 minutes for it to kick in. She was accurate. She made sure I had her phone number in case I had any problems. Thank you Ariel and National.
