For several friends always get a great haircut and the shampoo my hair which I love. Very friendly staff they usually get me in when I walk in if it's not busy obviously but the quality of a haircut is second to none. I will always go back to fantastic sams especially this location.

Mai is awesome! She always does my mom's perms, and takes such good care of her! My mom is 85 yes old. I just wish the prices weren't so high though.

I called in to the Fridley location to book an appointment online today. But the lady who was talking on phone was not very entertaining at the start. Then she asked me to spell my name and when I was spelling it she noted couple letters and then hung up the phone and did not call back. I thought phone call would have been a better option to book an appointment but it was not really the case. Looks like the staff is not very friendly.

Wanted a golden blond color and the young girl gave me a dark brown reddish color it is horrible.She tried to tell me it was lighter but in fact my hair is darker now will never go back th FS. Service: Haircut

Worst experience EVER! I made an appointment for a cut and style. I had an event to attend that evening. The appointment was at 4PM. I got there before my appointment time. They checked me in and I sat down to wait. Meanwhile another gentleman was in front of me. I could hear him and the stylist talking about getting him in last minute and how they have been friends for so long ect. ect. It was 10 minutes to 5 when she finally called my name. She proceeds to tell me that she can't get me in today. That they close in 10 minutes and they can't stay late! I was furious! They let me sit for an hr just to tell me they can't perform the services. I had an event that day and I took a later appointment because that's all they had left. But she sure was able to get her friend in before me. I will never ever go back to this place. She didn't even offer any kind of apology. She was very rude and matter of fact.

I had a 5:30 appointment with Robin on March 8th. VJ check me in and informed me Robin is finishing up with another client which is fine with me since I did arrived 5 minutes early for my appointment. At 5:45 pm I was still waiting to get my haircut and not once did Robin even acknowledge that I was there waiting for her nor to tell me she is sorry that it's taking longer with her other client. At 6:00 pm when she finished with her client she then tells me she cannot give me a haircut that I will need to have the other Stylist VJ and another to cut my hair. I was so furious that she made me wait 30 minutes just to tell me she cannot cut my hair. WORST SERVICE I've have ever had with this Salon. I have been coming to Fantastic Sam for many years and never had this kind of service. You would think the other stylist that were there would have also apologized that I was sitting in the waiting room for 30 minutes. What was the point of making an appointment when the stylist tells you she cannot cut your hair. I would give a zero star but zero is not one of the choices.

Stopped in to get a haircut, wasn't busy. Looked like 3 or 4 stylist were working, they wouldn't even acknowledge me. Usually you check in right when you arrive but none of the stylist would come over and check me in. One stylist even finished with a customer and instead of saying "I'll be with you in a moment" she just cleaned up her station. I know they saw me come in and stand at the front desk for ten minutes. The last they could do is say "hello" or "just a second". Very odd experience.

Mai messed my hair up so bad I had to go to another location and have it fixed. I did not trust her to fix it. She gave me the choppiest haircut and all I wanted was a trim. I have never felt so awful leaving a salon before. I have had other stylists at this location who have done great work but I will not get a haircut from her again. Service: Haircut

Wonderful experience, first haircut at a salon since the pandemic and the service was fast (there wasn't a wait) and the stylist VJ (I hope I'm correct on the name, I'm going off of the mirror at the station) was able to work magic despite me not being very descriptive of what I wanted done. I left feeling happy and confident. On top of that she gave me styling tips regarding products and I ended up with a very nice forming cream. Overall, I really couldn't ask for more from a salon experience.
