I've been taking my vehicles to Ross almost since the day he opened his shop, over 20 years ago. It is always a pleasure to do business with Mutrux Automotive. Ross and Cindy run their business like they want your business. The repairs are done right at a fair price, and they don't try to sell you a bunch of other, questionable, services that you may or may not need. They assesses the vehicle and tell you what they recommends, then they expertly do the work that you approve. And they always have a smiling face to pump gas and check your tires. Probably other stuff, as well. As one of the very few full-service stations left in the area, the Mutrux Automotive/Sinclair team is definitely customer service oriented. Ready to top off the tank as soon as you pull up. No need for you to get out of your auto unless you want to stretch your legs! Air pump for tires available and easily accessed. I also depend on them for auto repairs, tire service, and state inspections. They keep me informed of any unexpected findings and price check on my behalf as needed. Efficient, quality service.

I am always extremely impressed by Mutrux’s services. But what really separates them from the competition is the kindness of the boss and all the workers. They are an incredibly friendly and helpful group that always goes the extra mile to please their customers. I had a flat late in the day yesterday and they were booked solid with appointments, but they didn’t turn me away. They were able to help fix my tire, which is great because I have a road trip planned for the weekend. And the older gentleman in the Navy hat, unfortunately I didn’t get his name, gave me a ride to my house because he didn’t want me to “have to walk in the rain”. I enjoyed talking with him about his life and our mutual appreciation of old country music. I’ve been to mutrux several times for oil change, inspection, tire balance, etc and they’re always very nice but the prices are outrageous. $209 to replace my spark plugs on my ‘07 Corolla. When I arrived they could not give me an estimate on the service I wanted because “he isn’t a mechanic”. Well $150 in labor alone (my car was At the shop for less than three hours), and even more to turn off a light or something I never asked them to. The explanation of the price wasn’t very helpful over the phone. I also asked them to not roll down my window (it’s off track) and they did. I was recommended them by a friend and they’re close to my job but I will say I will not be returning. It sucks because I want to support small and local business but I well be taking my car elsewhere with more affordable, honest prices. Service: General repairs & maintenance

I went in at 7 in the morning it was done by 3 that day for an oil change, and alternator checked and diagnosed. I didn’t get up sold any products or pushed things that don’t need fixing. A great level of customer service and professionalism from everyone I talked to. Oil change was a tad pricey but average as it can be for someone too busy (in my case, but laziness for most others) to change it themselves. I would recommend this to a friend for customer service alone. Thanks guys saved me a couple hours I didn’t have for myself. Service: Oil change

Took my wife's car in for an inspection today. It worked fine - drove and started just fine prior to taking it in. But we come to pick it up and it doesn't start. Seems electrical as the dashboard doesn't light up - this is while it's still sitting in their parking lot. They jumped her car and said to check with oreillys (where we recently bought her battery from 2 weeks ago). I turn the car off and try to restart it - nothing. I think it was just the anti-theft system was triggered so I just reset the battery - and it starts fine... However, I went inside and told them about the problem - asked what all they did during the inspection - and asked what we should do of we drive it off the lot and this issue comes back up and something more problematic seems to be going on. Seemed like a reasonable inquiry to me. I was immediately turned away - the person at the counter got defensive and asked me why I was telling them they were running a bad business - ultimately told me if something else happens take the battery back to oreillys. The car worked fine prior to taking it in. They took it into their shop - and it didn't start immediately after they inspected in. Logically, this suggests something happened during the inspection (to be clear - I'm not saying something did happen - just that the situation made it seem as such). I dont think I was in the wrong to question them. But their defensiveness - and later we got a call on the phone asking us to take our car elsewhere for work - is a little concerning. This behavior, at the very least, may suggest an unwillingness to work with their customers and resolve issues of this sort if (and when) they arise. The car seems to be working fine now - and it seems like the issue was just the anti-theft system triggering. So this interaction could simply be chalked up to an unfortunate misunderstanding. But I think their response to the ordeal stands on its own.

Called everywhere to find a mechanic that would be able to checkout my a car before I purchased it. When I called, they were obviously very busy, but they made it a priority to get me in time before I had to go to work. Wonderful customer service! Important for a woman to find a place that takes care of your mechanical issues without any concerns with being taken advantage of financially or otherwise... Accommodating, courteous, honest service is what I experienced. Estimated cost was double what I was charged and was super impressed with the small town service I felt like I had received from this family's business. Highly recommend.
