We had bought a brand new rifle for hunting season and drove all the way down to our property (which is 2 1/2 hours away) and when we went to sight the scope it was broken. Do not recommend buying a firearm from here. The staff was really nice and helpful but the quality of product is sub par. Also doesnt help that you cant return the firearm if it is broken so you wont know that it's broken until you go and shoot it and then you are stuck with it. Never going here again and making it know around to our hunting friends not to either.

Big box store with a very diverse selection. You could easily spend a couple hours here. Big gun and fishing pole selection. Heck, they even have trailer wheels/tires here. Also well staffed.

There were three employees gathered around talking at the gun counter. There were no customers but me. I had to stare at them to finally get one's attention. I asked to see a firearm behind the counter. They gave me grief about how they aren't supposed to do that and I can only look from afar. I inquired about the threads on the barrel and he just shrugged, said he had no idea. He didn't offer to look it up or anything. The model was badly scratched on the stock and barrel. I asked if he had another and was quickly shut down. He didn't bother to check nearby stores or offer to order one, so I just left.

Called two other branches before the Manchester, MO store and one never answered and the other put me on hold for ten minutes. I spoke with Robert (at the front door) and he was a Delight. I explained what I needed and he went above and beyond to help me out. He actually sound excited to help me. Robert keep your good personality and you will go far.

I understand staffing issues, but shouldn't all management be trained and certified to sell guns? After a long 4 day wait I go today to pickup my new gun only to be told they can't sell guns today because the whole department called off. Very frustrating.

Good place for sports goods. I was there for my racquetball racquet, I have 4-5 different ones to choose from. Where as most of the other sports stores usually don’t have that many. Although few of them were damaged, they had multiples racquets of each type.

Never recall having the customer service experience that Marcie provided us today. We had a return and she was able help us process it with ease and went above and beyond! I can’t recall the last time I walked out of a return experience feeling so thankful for the ease. She told us her manager was big on customer service and she does what she knows he would do. Since he wasn’t there, she stepped in:-). That single experience has won us over as customers. Thank you!!!!

My boyfriend and I went here on 6/15 at about 6:20 and they were SLAMMED. When we got to checkout Michael helped us and he was honestly the best. We're pretty sure he was new but he handled himself and the rush amazingly. I would say good on academy for hiring him, but he's the type to do f^@%!#& great anywhere he goes.

My first time at the store . Was fairly busy looked like a large variety of stuff I was searching for Wilson volleyball. ..... said online there were several in stock ..... asked for help .... not helpful.... I climb around top shelf found one . Could have been more helpful.

Had a great experience shopping for kayaks here. The staff went above and beyond by helping us select our kayak and a rack to be able to haul them. They allowed us to assemble our rack and load the kayaks right there. Mark in the outdoors/sporting goods depwas outstanding!!
