I have been with GSB for 25 or 30 years. Great customer service at all branches. All except this branch. Every time I go in this branch there is a problem. Enough is enough. They are incompetent, not enough training. Manager is rude with no customer service skills. Teller was new but she never apologized for his mistakes. I have a lot of money in my accounts. I'm thinking of moving it all to another bank.

I’ve only ever been with GSB and getting approved for a car loan was a less than good experience last week. 1st - We were told it would be a soft credit pull more than once, in-person. 2nd - Credit is excellent for both parties, debt to income is good, but the length of our credit history isn’t long enough. How are young millennials supposed to get a loan? 3rd - Both individuals we were in contact with gave us conflicting answers. Will be moving our accounts.

Have two different accounts with this bank. Have never had any problems setting up the accounts, or with the teller or drive-through services.

My company is a construction company that did not get paid over 4000.00 it had coming, so its account went in the negative. I worked and bounced back out of the hole and went to deposit A check, and they would not accept it . They only wanted cash. I cannot cash A check made to my business, so I'm not sure how I was supposed to do that. They called asking if I was going to take care of the negative balance and I said yes with my next check. Again, the woman told me they would not accept a check made to my business and was going to blacklist my buisness. So ultimately, great southern Bank just shut down my buisness over less than 500.00. I can not open an account anywhere else in my business name because of being put on the blacklist I have heard. I tried to make this right with great southern, but they will not accept A legal check from a reputable title company. It's tough out there for small businesses. We don't need to have to fight our banks for our money, too. I have been A great southern customer for over 10 years and now im being treated like this. Its disappointing.

Shanna was very polite and helpful. I failed to remember to add the fee into my withdrawal and all she said was no problem, Merry Christmas and took care of it for me. It’s the kindness and helpfulness that has continued my relationship with GC. Thank you Shanna!

I went in to discuss a family member passing away. I talked to Patty. She was very rude and defensive. Do NOT I repeat do NOT see Patty. I understand that she was unable to tell us certain things but she showed no compassion for our situation. She could have been nicer. Left the brach on tears because of how I was treated.

My wife had a car loan through Great Southern. Let’s go over what online banking is: pay your bills fully online. In April, she paid her complete online balance off. We heard nothing until July 5th. They stated “oh there was no notation saying this was for pay off, so there was still interest on the account that wasn’t online.” This is absolutely uncalled for and not right as a business. She had multiple issue with this business and we will be telling everyone to take the business elsewhere.

I don't typically like to leave bad reviews but I feel that I need to in this case. My wife wanted to take out a home equity line of credit so we could do some renovations on our house. She contacted the bank because they had a very attractive offer on HELOC's at the time. She filled out the credit application and worked with them to get an idea of how much equity we had. We were told that we were approved for at least $60K. My wife confirmed that amount was the minimum before she agreed to pay the $199 application fee. She was assured that we were approved for at least $60K and she showed me the email to prove it. We agreed to their terms and paid the $199. This is where the problems started. They used Monsanto & Associates for the appraisal. I met with the appraiser and she spent a total of less than 10 minutes onsite. The appraisal came back $30K under expectations. Now that the bank has the appraisal in hand the approved amount is now $30K lower than we were told it would be. I understand that they can't loan more than their appraiser says that it's worth, but I feel that we were mislead. If we would have been told that the $60K was just an estimate and the appraisal would dictate the actual total(more or less) we would not have went through the process. My wife expressed our dissatisfaction with the approved amount and the misrepresentation and at first it appeared that Great Southern was going to make it right refund the application fee. However, after speaking with the manager we were told that we would not get a refund and if we wanted a different appraisal we would have to pay for another. It's unfortunate when we have to do business with a company that treats their customers like this. I want to make sure others are informed so they don't make a similar mistake.
