Where do I start lied about everything since I brought my truck in for service. Terrible communication skills would highly encourage anyone to take the truck anywhere else. Take it somewhere where they actually care about doing this the right way.

We ran into a problem when moving a family member. We order too small of a truck and didn't realize it until the day of the move! The people at this Penske location helped us out, big time! They made swapping trucks for a larger truck so easy. The were very friendly, very quick, and extremely helpful. Even though this place is further away for me, this will be my go-to place from now on when renting moving trucks! Great experience!

Worst experience I could have ever had. If negative stars were possible they’d be incredibly useful. Rented a truck to attend a work convention out of state and to start they put us in the wrong type of truck (which we found out later when calling Penske customer service) then half way to our destination the truck broke down, we somehow “fixed” the issue and continued another hour before the truck broke down again and would not start. The option given to us was to wait 3 hours for another truck to be brought to us so we could unload our entire truck and reload a new one. Wow that’s so helpful and convienent. After calling multiple people we reached an agreement to be towed the rest of the way. We waited an hour for said tow truck just for them to take us backwards to switch drivers, we waited at a gas station in the middle of nowhere for two hours before being able to leave. Then a two hour drive was turned into four. We arrived at our destination over 7 hours late. They came to pick up that garbage truck and were supposed to bring us a new one two days later at noon. Did they? Of course not. We had to make multiple more calls and wait for them to be able to find proof of our original reservation which seemed to just disappear. Finally 6 hours later we got a new truck. Once arriving back home we explained our situation and demanded a refund due to the obvious. No, they offered us $200 back out of $850. Then the charge disappeared from my bank account so all the money was back, fantastic right? Just kidding, a week later they decided to come back and take out $700. Absolute garbage company with garbage trucks and garbage customer service. They didn’t even give us back the full $200 they so kindly offered. Stay far from this business.

I had a terrible experience at Penske. Our 22' truck broke down 2 miles into our 9-hour road trip, at which point we brought it back to the St. Louis location for service. The truck required a new (exhaust?) sensor before it could get back on the road. Now, I understand truck break-downs and repairs are a part of standard operating procedures for a business like Penske. What I don't understand is why I had to repeatedly argue to be compensated for this issue. Most of my conversations were with Chase, a sales supervisor at this location. Chase was unhelpful in solving the problem, as he did not proactively offer compensation nor communicate with us about the progress of the repair (he may tell you that is the responsibility of the service supervisor, though I would argue it falls under the purview of ensuring satisfactory sales for him to obtain this information from the service department). In addition to being pragmatically unhelpful, Chase was condescending to my father and me. He repeated walked away from our conversations and parroted the HR speak of reminding me, as the customer, that I was "within my right" to share my experience in public rather than solve the problem by offering me a discount. It is extremely frustrating for someone to ignore your requests. Further, it's just bad business. Chase, this message is written specifically for your mismanagement of this situation. Penske, I would ask you to revisit your policies regarding customer compensation for truck repair. I also ask you modify your employee training to enhance direct and clear communication with customers instead of espousing the belittling and unhelpful business speak we experienced with Chase. Lastly, I promise this is not my last communication with or about this company. This problem that could have been remedied in an afternoon will continue to be disseminated in my conversations about Penske and its competitors. UPDATE: I called Penske at the provided number and they assured me the company has done "all they can do" to solve this problem. In sum, a bad experience with a bad business.

This is the second time I have used this place in the last 4 months. Both times my truck wasn't ready when they said it would be and I have waited both times about an hour for them to "clean" it. This is ridiculously obnoxious. It's not hard to keep a schedule and I 💯 will never be back. Gave you a second chance and you guys have failed. I don't understand why you guys give a pick up time that you can't deliver on. Thanks for eating up over an hour of my already busy schedule

U-Haul screwed over a friend, and I called these guys 45 minutes before they closed to rent packing blankets. They had them ready by the time I arrived and were SO HELPFUL. I'm so grateful to them for bailing us out. What great people.

The staff are so friendly and very helpful! I picked up a 12-ft box truck, nice and clean on the inside cab and exterior. They do a thorough walk around before you leave the lot and explained other helpful tips. Also, their rates are much cheaper than U-Haul so be sure to book your rental online. Their fleet of trucks are well-maintained and I already mentioned their nice staff!
