Went to hyvee for a quick pick up... birthday cake and cupcakes. By the time I had gotten there the cake decorators had left...so the sweet lady behind the counter decided she would write my name and happy birthday on the cake. She did great! Went to the self check out for convenience and quick transaction only to find the barcode on the cake was sticking to itself and couldn't be read on the scanner. There was no "help button" that I seen on self check out to notify where ever the attendees were that oversee self check out that someone needed help... I left and stood in line at the courtesy counter behind 2 ppl while a line was forming behind my realtive at self check out trying to figure out the code. It just didn't make sense to me. There wasn't enough employees to assist self check out. Anyways... it's not my home town store so not a big deal. Just sharing my shopping experience for that time.

This is one of the better Hy-Vee's in Omaha because it has the good restaurant. The wine/liquor department is not in the usual Hy-Vee place, but it certainly has a the usual great selection. Enjoy this more upscale Hy-Vee. It certainly beats the Cass St. location by light years.

Saw an employee or manager harassing people in the parking lot, calling the police on a man-in-need and his pregnant wife after a woman made a scene in typical Karen fashion. Instead of driving away, the woman instead made it her mission to have the police summoned and her victim status validated (despite choosing to stay in the situation). A pedestrian hero intervened and then decided to return his groceries after the bad situation. I saw the manager harassing the hero inside the store as he returned his groceries and I decided to leave as well. The manager even had to try to get the last word in: unprofessional and immature. We are lucky there are regular people out there who stand up against discrimination.

The people were nice but they never have their hot deals in the evening. So why bother having them if you cannot have them in the store???

Although higher priced than other grocery stores, HyVee has quality products. We visited our local HyVee late on Friday evening. Very disappointed. Not only were they out of the advertised product we stopped by to purchase, but we were ignored by every single employee we encountered. Where were the Smiles In Every Isle?? Hope this isn't a trend.

I highly recommend eating at the Asian food market. The fried rice is pretty good. Also the beef and broccoli and the cashew chicken is always bomb! My wife went to I think it was the Deli side and she got a chicken sandwich and fries and both were cold. So in my wife's and I experience we recommend going to the Asian part. Very good. Also the customer service is great 👍

Ate breakfast here and the hash browns were burnt at the bottom as well as the bacon. I brought it to their attention. No offer to remake my burnt breakfast. Just a sorry. I didnt think customers needed to ask not to burn their food. Not one but two plates of burnt food.
