The owner/old man is one of the rudest individuals with the worst customer service I've ever met..! Bought my first gun there 20 years ago, brought my son to buy his first gun there only to be treated like we were not worthy of his time.. After driving almost an hour to get there.. Arrogant and condencending are another way i would describe him.. With many other local shops in the area, WAYYYYY friendlier options, not sure why anybody would waste there time driving to Alstead. Go to Monadnock firearms or Old Glory instead. You won't be disappointed, or treated poorly, like we were after dealing with Alstead..

Great experience selling an heirloom prewar rifle today. Fun talking to both employees. They truly appreciated the beauty of this primitive rifle that has been passed through 3 generations and part of my house for over 40 years..and provided alot of info on it's non-family specific history! Greatly appreciated and great experience !

I have been shopping here for over 10 years and was always treated well. I live in the area, and like to go window shopping during the week when they are less busy. I often come home with something. Contrary to some other reviews, I have observed the staff being quite patient with customers, particularly those who are unsure of what, if anything, they want to buy. Prices are competitive, and the used selection sometimes turns up something nice at a fair price.

Never been here, but I've spoken to them twice over the phone and they were very kind and professional people. And it appears that they don't ridiculously mark up their weapons here. Next time I get a weapon I trust this place but with my own experience and that of all the many positive reviewers here.

The gentlemen here are excellent to work with. Strong selection of firearms and accessories, vast knowledge base, and just about everything you might need to accessorize or maintain your sporting equipment. Went in today to pick up some scope rings for a very low mounted scout scope, and was promptly provided with exactly what I was looking for at a fair price. Cannot recommend this establishment highly enough.

Moved up here at the start of summer, and am pleased to find such an excellent gun store so close to my home. They have a good selection of rifles and pistols in stock, as well as a few oddities and unique items to keep the more discerning customer, such as myself, interested. Maybe a little too interested, as it's hard to leave the store without some dent in my wallet. Beyond that, Tom and Scott have been great to work with, always answering my questions, communicating with me when I have orders coming in, etc. I look forward to bringing them much more business in the future.

Their staff has always treated me with respect, happily answered my questions and have been more than willing to order whatever I desired if they did not have it in stock.
