2ND Rental with Budget this year. TERRIBLE. Car was a complete mess. Bugs and debris were splattered all over the front of the car and the rest of the exterior was covered in dirt. Clearly, this car hadn't been properly cleaned in a while. The inside had trash on the floor from the previous renters. Absolutely no effort was made to even try and make the car look presentable. The car had less than 4000 miles on it and was not a cheap rental. We paid $450 for 4 days. Because this is the 2nd time this has happened this year (2 different locations), I have contacted the corporate office. No response in 2 weeks. Lastly, poor signage. No indication of the rental counter location. We walked out to the lot and had to be directed back to where the counter was located. When we returned the car Monday morning one employee said to the other "what is the special occasion that we actually have 2 people here today?" Buyer Beware.

Didn't have the type of van we reserved, gave us one with a tear 3/4 across the box, alignment out of whack, weather stripping torn, dirty interior and tough to drive in a straight line. Check engine light came on after 300 miles.

Unreliable. They do not honor terms of agreement. The desk was closed when my flight landed. I received no call, text or email. I just arrived to an airport with no way out. There is no cab service in NH at the time I arrived. I was STRANDED!

Horrible and embarrassing experience. A week prior a different rep helped us secure a vehicle, in and out. The following week, a different rep refused to release the car we prepaid for and refused to reverse the charges. She set the standard of unprofessionalism and how not to help with customer experience. Very rude and condescending. She was so dead set on finding out the rep who had helped me so they can be reprimanded. I asked will this benefit me? She said no. So I left. She has to not only be reprimanded but never in a customer service position ever again.

They ripped me off. I had a prepaid reservation from Priceline. Now when I see my credit card I noticed that I got charged both from Priceline from Budget. the customer service is doing nothing. never go to this place

I made an online reservation for a 4-day rental. I used my debit card to secure the reservation and had a chat with an online agent about the acceptance of debit cards. I was assured it could be used. I got to the rental counter, and Norma told me she could not accept my debit card. I explained the online agent said it was okay, and she explained the policy regarding flights. Lesson learned for me to fully explain my intentions for a rental the next time I book a rental. I asked Norma about the cancellation policy and she said "that's not the same organization." Confused, I asked, "this is Budget Rental Right?" She said, "yes, but I don't have that information." I then asked if she could direct me on who I should reach out to regarding canceling the reservation. She said "no, I don't have that information." Again I ask, "I'm at Budget right?" She said "yes, but I would have no idea how to even get that information for you." I explained to her I was stranded. She said, "there's nothing I can do to help you." I said, "are you sure there's nobody that you could call to assist me?" She said "no, I would have no idea on who to call, and I can't help you." I asked her for her name, and walked away. What a disgusting display of indifference and lack of customer care and service. I will never go to Budget rental car again. To Norma, go the extra mile to help a customer, especially when there's nobody in line, and especially after the customer explains she's stranded and in complete distress.

So many hidden fees. Our car was filthy and had functional problems. Luckily we were able to drive over an hour to swap it out for a different one. Good luck trying to get customer service on the phone. Hold times were over 40 minutes and then without even listening to my concern the agent transferred me back to the main menu. Overall, over priced and unhelpful.

The car and cost were really good. The at-airport experience was less so. . Picking up the car, we followed the rather poor signage to the kiosk in the garage. It was abandoned, with no clue what to do. Backtracking, we found that the desk was in the garage, before you enter the parking-lot portion. After actually finding the desk, getting the car was standard. Fastbreak membership had no advantage. . Returning the car, we were greeted by a pleasant-enough man. However, he had no identification beyond his say-so that he worked with Budget. No badge, no logo'd clothing, nothing. He acknowledged it was a problem that he'd asked the agency to provide. The best we could do was have the grizzled car jockey say he was legit. We handed him the keys and hoped for the best. It worked out. . Beyond the 30 minutes pickup being aggravating and the worrisome drop-off, it was fine.

We had to walk a country mile after we landed at the Manchester NH Airport just to find the car rental place. My husband frequently rents from Hertz/Budget and we weren't supposed to wait in line. We did. Then we were told to go to the outside parking lot, look for their sign and talk to the person in the booth. We walk another country mile and once at the booth we have to fill out paperwork we already filled out online! They gave us a low end Sorento to drive. That is one uncomfortable passenger seat. We decided to drive from NH to NC for personal reasons and asked how much it would be to keep the car one more day. $750.00 because we were crossing state lines! I called Enterprise and was quoted $193.00! Enterprise has our business from now on.

Horrible!!! I paid extra for a luxury rental, they started off by tacking on an additional $20 per day over what I originally paid. The car had not been cleaned, reaked of smoke, passenger door wouldn't open, made a loud noise like the wheel was going to come off on the highway. I called to exchange the car, they said just bring it back and pick up a different car. All seemed well until after I returned the vehicle with a full tank of gas, I noticed that they had charged me for an extra $120 in fees. I called the day before just to verify if the vehicle needed to be returned at any specific time and I was told "absolutely not". However they chaged me because I rented it at 11:30 three days prior and my return flight brought me back to the airport at 1:00. They charged me for gas even though I returned it full and wanted me to produce a receipt for the gas! Yerrible experience.
