Owner Takes minutes to diagnose and has never been wrong; not even once so far for me! This is something I cannot say for anywhere else I have bled money at. All Fluid Changes even Transmission Fluid Changes are actually done! and you know its done properly because you can even watch it! Plus the Owner will actually spend the time to educate you on engine parts you don’t even care to know! That’s a True Display of Pride in their own Work! My Abbreviated List of Work Completed besides Fluid & Filter Changes, Standard Maintenance including Tires, Brakes & Rotors: Honda Accord A\C Compressor Transmission Tires, Brakes & Rotors for all my cars Battery Tune Up with a melted sparkplug fused in the cylinder head that was abandoned by my previous handyman Range Rover Automatic GearBox Air Suspension System Broken Wiper Blade System HID Lights Battery Many Varieties of NON-dependentable Range Rover Sensors including the front Hood Sensor setting off Alarms that Land Rover charges $150 just to diagnose! Plus +$120 for the part! Leaky BMW 5 Series Tires, Brakes & Rotors for all cars Engine Block Misfiring Pistons Some Pumps Hood Wiring because it wouldn’t open which I had it done on Rover at the dealer who quoted me $599 but when I left, it was close to $900! Leaking Power Steering System Now a Leaking Coolant System My Friend’s BMW 5 series from 1995 also needed engine block & pump work My company’s Chevy Aveo Oxygen Sensors (car had two) Radiator Issues requiring replacement A/C Issues involving Condenser Tire blew out in the highway from previous shop so I brought it here and this is only a partial! I also owned an Avalon, Cayman & 911 Cabrio No overcharges, No recommendations to replace extra parts like every other garage I have ever been to, and I’ve even seen some people bring their own tires! You Try bringing your own tires to Mavis! Can you Believe it! A mechanic that charges only for the work that NEEDs to be done? I was just about ready to lease-only my cars until I started coming here! I always see the Regulars bringing the Owner iced Coffee! I live near this place. A few years back (sorry for the delay) I walked out to my car, and had a flat. I pumped it up, and went searching for a local shop. I stopped at a few prior to this one, and got we're too busy, or we only work on these imports. I stopped here, and he was finishing up a vehicle. I explain what's going on, hey, my tire is leaking, hopefully I just need a tire plug. He says give me a few minutes and I'll see what I can do. He finishes up the customer vehicle, pulls it out, pulls mine in and checks. Yes, just a plug was needed thankfully. 123, he preps the tire, installs the plug, and adds air. I was so grateful he was able to take me on the spot I pulled out the cash I had and was ready to pay pretty much anything he wanted. He waived it off and said don't worry about it.

Mr. Kim knows these cars like the palm of his hands because of his experience working directly for Hyundai, and will not try to upcharge you like the dealer. Kim is fantastic - came in with a few minor issues and he walked me through what was wrong as well as his anticipated process for getting my car back in shape. In my latest trip, he even texted me pictures and videos of his completed work so I could come pick up my car with no delays. Prices are very reasonable, but the best part of my experience was no dealing with upselling on additional work or changes to the cost after the fact. Highly recommend, and I'll be back the next time my car presents the opportunity.

Philip is a great mechanic. My Hyundai's check engine light and ABS lights came on and I brought the car to him. He diagnosed the problem and explained to me what was wrong. He even offered to see my car after his work hours when I couldn't bring it in one day because I had work. When he got the part I needed for my car, he fixed it in one day. I have a 2012 Hyundai Accent, my car had a lot of minor issues before coming to Mr. Kim. The main problem was my exhaust. Mr. Kim, showed me what the issue was and fixed it at an affordable price. Also, he has changed my O2 sensors for me and a oil change. He keeps me knowledgeable about my car and it’s drivability, which is great since I travel a lot. Most importantly, he has integrity. This is important because a lot of mechanics are overpriced, and your car never seems to be fully repaired. A few days ago, I repaired my 2014 Lincoln here. Mr. Kim correctly diagnosed the cause after opening the bonnet of my car and explained it to me in an easy way. And he completed the maintenance carefully, and I have not had any problems with my car since then. I was amazed at his excellent skills, and moreover, the cost of repairs was so low that I was once again surprised by his honesty. I think he's the most competent and honest car mechanic in New Jersey. I thank him once again.
