Horrible location! I am not from the area was visiting stopped in to grab some things a whole cart full to be exact. Got to the register asked The man to leave a few items separate. Was informed there was no bags.. didn't even offer to sellw a few! I was dumb founded by this a store with no bags! No sign on the door stating it was a new law! A female cashier started arguing with me, I explained I was not from NJ i am a florida resident visiting the area an was not aware she kept running her mouth! I told her now she can void this over $100 order and walked out! I'll keep my business in my own state! Maybe dollar tree should give these employees better training, not everyone that walks through the door is from that area!

I went into the store with my senior mother and aunt the last 10 minutes to grab 3 things (napkins, paper towels, and toothpaste to be specific) and was met with the most rude cashier who was cursing at us under his breath and throwing our checkout items at us at the same time because he wanted us to rush out two minutes after closing time. When I told him to refrain from his rudeness he continued to throw profanities and his hands up at us in his frustration. A petite dark haired woman came up to the register and told us to both stop and proceeded to follow us as we were exiting the store clapping her hands together yelling at us to, “Have a good night.” When I mentioned I’d leave a negative review because of their behavior their tempers only escalated. Unfortunately I was unable to catch their name tags or I’d be even more specific. This is only my second time at the store but I would never recommend anyone to visit this store ever. I’ve never received such rude customer service from entrance to exit. I hope management can correct this horrible unprofessional behavior coming from their employees. A complete shame. 1 star is giving them too much justice. If a 0 star was an option I’d click it with NO hesitation.

100% better shopping experience at this store, than I didn't even get to have at the Freehold store! All thanks to all the welcoming employees at this store. Wish I could say the same for the freehold store but heck "NO" sadly all due to one very rude mistreating customers employee! He probably should not be working in the retail industry at all because he clearly doesn't know how to provide customer service by properly communicating & interacting with guests to build an inclusive guest experience, adapt to different customer interactions and situations, promoting & selling products and/or services. Nevertheless, thank you to all the lovely employees at the Howell dollar tree for welcoming me in with open arms and providing such great customer service. I surely had a much better experience here at this store than the freehold!! I got my greeting cards even more than orginally was looking for along with some other get finds here at this dollar tree. Ownership if your reading this you may want to evaluate your hiring manager at the freehold store because he/she is letting bad candidates slip through the cracks and hiring them. This store is highly unorganized and dirty. I thought when it moved to the bigger store it would be better. Staff is cordial but whoever is managing it needs a refresher course in store management.

If I could give it zero stars I would. Went there this morning because they “open at 9 says their door and website” I walk up to the door and pull it. I find that it’s locked and a strange petite man comes out yelling asking if I am 60. I am 18 years old. He shouts to come back at 10 as I am not standing far from him. This dude has scarred me for life and now made me self conscious about my appearance.

It's great having dollar store in neighborhood I wish they would open a little earlier. Other locations open at 8:30. I'm sure the employees wouldn't like it. You will get deals on cleaning products and some great deals in food aisle too.
