Huge thanks to Alex and the team at Parsippany Pepboys! I live over an hour away and go to the area periodically for work. When my tire went completely flat for the first time in this area, I had no idea where to go. Luckily I was able to be seen right away, and in a little over an hour my car was ready with the new tire! I didn’t think I was able to get an appointment right away. Thankful to Pepboys, Alex and everyone at Parsippany Pepboys for not leaving me stranded 😭 (Another place I called in the area said I had to wait for at least 2-3 hours). P.S. There’s a Starbucks right next door. Bonus points for being able to have a bite + coffee while waiting.

Have gone to this mechanic shop for the past 3-4 years for a oil change. I'm use to waiting roughly a hr for it to be done. This time I made the appointment online like usual and waited roughly 2hours. When it was all done they told me it would cost $75 after all the discounts from the original $100. After all the years I've gone there it went from $35 to $75 and added a fuel service clean which I never requested. When asked to speak to the manager, all they responded with was it has always been this much. Then they stated synthetic oil went up when I use to buy the oil myself. The employees were rude saying can't you read these have always been this price. Will never be going there again as well as telling local towing companies to never recommend this place to their customers. Such a Rip-off!!!

So had an experience with another tire shop and they were going to charge me an arm and a leg for new tires and installing a level kit on an F150. Never ordered the tires I asked for and showed up the day I was told and they didn’t have them. I called Pepboys the same day and asked if they had the tires in stock. They got the tires within a day and I saved a few hundred dollars with the mounting and balancing as well as the install of the leveling kit. I will say this much, they are some of the nicest people I have worked with and am glad I went to them to have the work done. If you’re looking for a tire place or even something like a suspension install I would genuinely recommend them to anyone! Thank you for the great experience and will gladly come back if anything else ever pops up.

Definitely have to give this place a 5 out of 5. Yesterday, I experienced a blow out on the highway. I called the shop to inquire about any used tires available. None of the mechanics were still there because the shop was getting ready to close but George remained there and helped me out. He even informed on further issues that my car is currently dealing with. He saved me yesterday and I highly recommend going here for service. Thanks again George! -Darnell

Since moving to NJ from another state, I haven't had a set mechanic I feel comfortable with established yet which brought me to Pep Boys. I first came here to fix a flat tire. I had found out I had ran over a nail and the tire could be patched instead of replacing it. I was happy to hear the cost to patch a tire is much lower. They patched it up and I was on my way about $25 later. A few days go by and the exact same tire goes flat AGAIN!! I knew something was up. I couldn't have possibly ran something over again! I was stuck on the side of 287 on my way to work. I called AAA who put my spare tire on and I brought my car back to Pep Boys. After a bit I was told the mechanic didn't properly seal the tire and that's why it was flat. They so blatantly admitted their wrongdoing but didn't apologize for it. I had to take half a personal day (mind you I only get 3 per year) in order to take care of this and it wasn't even my fault!! I wasn't charged of course but still put me in a bad situation with my PTO. Fast forward a few months and I just recently got my oil changed this week. I used their online system to schedule an appt. I called to see how I can apply the 20% off coupon listed on their webpage and I followed all the instructions. I originally checked the box indicating I would be dropping the car off for service. I decided about 20 min before my appointment time I was going to stay and wait for the car. I called to let Pep Boys know my change of plans. I was then told they were in the process of calling me to cancel... 20 minutes before!!! I was just about to leave my house! I was super disappointed they didn't let me know they were backed up a few hours earlier in the day. This could have given me time to schedule elsewhere. I was going back to work the next day and really wanted this taken care of. I called around to 3 other Pep Boys locations who, on such short notice and an hour before closing, couldn't take me. I called back this location to see what could be done. They gave me a voucher for a FREE oil change. This was definitely a nice gesture and I really appreciated this service however, to call just minutes before the appointment is unprofessional. I am still in the process for looking for a mechanic I feel I can trust. This place just isn't it for me.

This one’s for Jordan: My Ukrainian family took a trip over to Pep Boys recently with a $2000 car and Jordan immediately understood their situation. He was very attentive and professional, getting us everything needed quickly and effectively. He invested his personal time into finding the most affordable options and we left feeling great about the visit. Jordan is a very sweet man who is excellent at what he does. Kudos! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My former regular mechanic said my Audi needed tires, he said they were bald and the tires had to be special ordered and shipped. I came here hoping they had my size and i can get it over with. First counter guy said PHOOEY, my tires were perfectly fine, and to save my money for my Christmas shopping. I contested, my regular mechanic has to be right, right? Second counter guy took me out to measure my tires and said I'd be crazy to replace tires that were 2 years old and had 75% LIFE REMAINING. *FORMER*. Regular. Mechanic.

Great place. Bunch of sincere guys that even took me in the back to show me what they found on my truck. Jorge at the counter was a peach. Thought the guy installing my tires was giving me the cold shoulder, but it turns out he was just deaf as can be, all OK. I caught a glimpse of another tech eating out of what i think was a half full classroom sized tub of Elmer's glue, but to each his own. 5 stars.

Please don’t go to this place if you want to save your life., their mechanic forgot to tighten wheel bolts of one of my tires properly even they kept my car for 3 days , I took our car back ( that means service was done) on Monday night their closing time and next morning(Tuesday)I went to drop my daughter while I was on highway on my way to school my car started making very load noice and vibrating very badly, seemed unbalanced I was so scared , I stopped on the side and what I found was my tire with only 2 bolts also very loose and 3 were gone ,as you can see in this picture below 👏🏻 👏🏻 good job pep boys parsippany . I asked help somehow and reached to pep boys and told them the situation, the person on the counter said “ sorry but we will fix it again”, he wasn’t sorry at all I spoke to the mechanic and told him how disappointed I am with this quality of service where I spent 2075$ and waisted 3 days and again I’m here on the day forth. he asked me to call the manager “Winnie” to tell him about the situation but that was another bad thing happened to me this WINNIE was already aware very rude to me (and he was not sorry at all)he almost yielded on me saying “ WE GAVE YOU MORE THEN 4000$ WORTH SERVICE FOR 2075$ WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT” thank you Winnie! bad , inhuman, rude people with no sense of respect and no sense of responsibility , and the place is garbage, there should be zero ⭐️

Made an appointment on-line for an oil change at 3:30pm. I Arrived 15 minutes early and waited until 5:00pm and didn't see any vehicles pull in or out of the garage. I got up and said good bye and left. Store: Pine Brook Pep Boys Location: Route 46 East Pine Brook NJ No communication and terrible service ! Made an on-line appointment with Firestone in West Caldwell right after getting home from Pep Boys, for today 3/24/22 @ 4:30pm. Talk about GREAT service...... Got there 15 minutes early and they had my car in the shop at 4:25. My car was done at 4:50. Thank you Firestone and I will continue to give them my work from now on !!
