went to get a 3 inch section of flex pipe replaced after another shop broke it replacing a section of the exhaust, original shop could not weld to repair it.midas came with a price of $489 to do it, they explained why the plrice and how it was going to be done, they said the had to unbolt the front pipe as part of the job, i stated that that was not possible because the from pipe was part of the catalytic converter. the guy was gonna show me that i didn't know what i was talking about, so he puts the car back up and looks and says, your right. so they come qith a new price of $344. . the original price for the small peice of flex pipe was $148 but he dropped the price to $129.. when i stated that the price for the pipe was less then $20., the manager got onvolved and told me how wrong i was. i get that there is a merkup on parts, but 700%?. i left and went to meineke in middletown, $244 and done

I don’t recommend anyone go to this shop ,this shop skip my money my wife put wrong gas into my car when I drop my car of to check ,when I called the find out was a diesel she put in that car the charge 1192.65 just to take the gas out of the car ,when I called I asked them how that problem gonna take to fix the said 2 days just because they wanna charge that money please everyone stay away from Midas garage .scammer Service: Engine repair

Luckily she called me and seeing as I do that work myself, 1) the leak was minor and been happening for months, leaking near the transmission and no where near exhaust pipes. 2) I replaced the valve cover gasket myself in 15 minutes which cost me $12 in parts. When I called the manager he was incredibly rude and told me I had no idea what I was talking about. I was very disappointed and unhappy with Midas when I found out that there some paint chips and dent on my vehicle door after brought my car to Midas to get state inspection and wheel alignment. I believe this came from a technician opening the door without carefully and hit it on the lift. I wish they pay more attention and carefully when working on customer cars. We bring our cars to get fix not to put more damages on it. I hope they are looking into this and adding foams around so doesn't happen to other people car.
