Please don’t use this U-Haul company! I called U-Haul customer service to inform them I could not check in my van through my phone because their website was malfunctioning. The man on the line told me it was okay and I would not be charged the extra $20 for having U-Haul employees check in the van themselves. Yet I was charged the $20 and when I called to explain what happened, after being on hold for over 30 minutes, I was told, “You don’t have a screenshot of the website issue so there cannot be a dispute case.” Despite the fact I have a screenshot of the phone call I had with U-Haul customer service with the time stamp and photos of the van that I took that night with the time stamp, they won’t accept the photos and I will still be charged the $23 (with taxes I’m assuming). This is my first and last time using U-Haul, please save yourself the trouble and use another moving company.
