It's after 2am... my gas light is on & I needed to put gas in my vehicle, as I am heading out of town in the morning. I called to ask about the price of gas, but nobody was answering the phone. I figured they must be busy with customers, so I tried back 5 minutes later... the call was picked up, but nobody said anything then hung up the call. Tried again, but nobody picked up. Another 5 minutes... tried again, the call was picked up, but again not a word and the call was hung up. Beyond annoying... Pffft! So much for a 24hr gas station/convenience store. I live 4 blocks away... they have lost all future business from me!!

Supposedly they're open 24 hours a day, well I just went up for a soda and they have their Emergency Shutters closed... I smell false advertising

I watched the customer in front of me nicely ask the man at the counter why he was charged $50 for $20 of gas. The employee said something about it being refunded on Monday and the customer would have to talk to corporate. So the customer asked for a phone number and the employee refused to give it, told the man he didn't have time to help him, and when the customer tried again to ask for the number, the employee told him "You made me lose count [of money], I'm not helping you." I promptly set down my would-be purchases and left.

They took out their Pepsi fountain machine and have not replaced it so you will not get a fountain drink here. For over three weeks their restroom has been out of order. They seem to cater to the alcoholic and drinkers of wine as well. Their cigarettes are priced higher than most places I go to as well. Some of the employees it is nice to see in the morning when I get my coffee.

Good, and friendly staff. I go get snacks here for work and they are always nice. They also offered to pump my tire for me when I needed gas, which was very nice! Good people working here.

It may not be as clean or shiny as some truck stop in Beavertron but the tough hardworking folks at this last stop out of town are critical to keeping this town running. People have no idea how busy or how important this station is. It's probably the most expensive gas in the city. But if you're low before you get to the pass you'll be glad its there. As much as it is part of the human tapestry of Portland it is a way station for travelers through the Burnside pass. A last stop before you leave civilization. The corner store. As Jane Jacobs points out the 24 hour corner store is a necessary ingredient for a functioning neighborhood. Craft beer. Snacks. Cat food. Smokes. Lotto tix. It's your luxurious 24 hour vending machine ready to sate your thirsts at any hour of the day. "Moon Pies. What a time to be alive." Finally and most importantly it has fallen to the gas station attendants and store clerks to fill a gap in our social net; dealing with people on the fringe late at night. They are the working heroes of Portland and I applaud them. They were heroes before covid and now they are legends. Nobody deals with more of Portland's weird than these folks. Mostly you will find the corner store wonderful mix of Portland's characters.

My experience at the St. Clair Chevron was absolutely uncalled for and really horrible. I had made a purchase of a king size candy bar at the 82nd and Stark location (and kudos for the clerk at the 82nd and Stark location) prior to coming into the St. Clair location and had forgotten about that purchase when I walked into the store. I walked towards the beverages and never diverted from my path and went up to the counter to pay for 2 beverages. The clerk who worked that night was extremely rude to me and accused me of stealing the candy bar. I told him I already paid for it and he said he was going to call the cops so I said go ahead and instead he refused to let me make my purchase and kicked me out of the store. I would like to think that it was videotaped that I didn't strayed from my path towards the drinks. The store clerk should be fired in my opinion because that's not how you treat customers and his attitude really stinks. I would also like to say that I called to speak to the manager and the person on the phone was also rude. So I wasn't able to get my complaint dealt with. I don't recommend this location because of very rude employees. Though not all of them are rude but most are. If you don't like working with the public then you need to find a different job. I also wouldn't recommend coming here iunless it's a last resort especially during the grave shift!

Got threatened to be kicked out when I was asking to contract the manager about broken merchandise being knowingly sold and then not allowed to be traded in or refunded. I was being respectful and calm but was treated like I was yelling at someone. Stop knowingly selling broken merchandise and maybe customers won't ask about doing returns.

Convenient location and hours. Ok beer prices for a gas station.
