I stopped in today at this (551 N Main St-Providence, RI 02904) branch and was assisted by Samantha. She was most helpful, pleasant, and courteous. This should be noted, and brought to the branch manager's attention. Thank you, (Fortes).

I was in the N. Main branch two days ago (March 22) and needed four bank checks with different payees and odd amounts - something which can take up to 20 minutes in some banks (and even once at the Thayer Street branch), but Carmen (the teller I dealt with) was amazingly fast, efficient and accurate. She wrote down all the information and produced the checks in record time. I was truly impressed. Tessa Wilson

Miriam Garcia this one star is for you. Ran out of 100$ not your fault but giving me every excuse in the book and telling me to drive around to other banks is. Let’s try a little customer service and tell me what you can do? or perhaps work with me to develop a plan. Bank checks for free? maybe 50s? But instead excuses and tells me to go “figure it out” for lack of better words. Corporate feel free to reach out to me! Amazing Managers and the regular tellers. are 5 stars!

They do not deserve a star but I had to give one ..ugh , I had to deposit a check ...and apparently, its not that easy to deposit a check. The girl behind the counter did not communicate why she keeps walking away from the counter ...continuously (over four times) to speak to another person that works there about the check that I am trying to deposit. . I tried to communicate with her however she seemed so lost and made me feel so frustrated. I was told that I needed to have some special paperwork done ...and the girl behind the counter told me I had to wait for the person and that would take over 15 minutes. Only to have to get this paper notarized ..and to this day I have NO IDEA WHY?

I’ve been to many banks and Santander is by FAR the worst I have ever banked with. Getting issues resolved is like pulling teeth. They didn’t collect all the documents they needed to open our account but opened it anyway, and then continued freezing the account because they didn’t have the proper paperwork. They couldn’t even tell us what paperwork they needed from us to reopen the account so there was nothing we could do. Furthermore, they lie CONSTANTLY. An assurance that it will be fixed, or even something simple like a promised phone call, has a very slim chance of happening. Furthermore, my appearance was even criticized by the teller (they disliked my hat). It has been a painful experience and we will likely now be switching banks once we decide on one. Be extremely cautious if you choose to bank here.

Joe gonsalves is the branch manager, and provided exceptional service. Husband and I needed a copy of our identifications f husband and I needed a copy of our identification rom an old account. Joe went above and beyond to make phone calls and even look full-time in the back through thousands of records. Thank God he found them! often times in customer service you don’t need people to go above and beyond .

Came into bank regarding fraud on my account. Talked to a nice man who said the only banker authorized to help me was busy with another customer. He said she would check up with me in 5 minutes. Fast forward 25 minutes and I haven't heard a word from any employees as I'm sitting in the nearly empty bank. I got up and left. I will be switching over to Citizen's Bank. I have had nothing but problems with Santander in the past and the poor service was the nail in the coffin.

When I signed up for a checking account their computer systems were down and they had to send the paperwork in by hand. Not only did I have to come in the next day to complete it, but the guy who was helping fill out the paperwork, Robert, an older, stout, homely gentleman, apparently doesn't know how to read a driver's license an input my information incorrectly. In addition to all of this, they sent me checks in the mail from someone else's account!! Good thing I didn't capitalize on their error. 5 months later, I am out of town when an automatic payment goes through and puts me just barely into the negative, from which I accrued an additional fee just because I couldn't put it into the positive when out of town. I went in for help and Robert once again fails to provide any decent customer service, not only did he make me wait 30min just to get help, he acted like it was some huge favor to refund 1 of the 2 $35 fees I got for being -$20. Absolutely pathetic.
