This was a positive experience from the designer to the last bit of caulking. The designer spent time with us to find out what we wanted. We had a vision which she brought to life and nailed it. We did two closets and the installation process was great with both. When it was time to do our big closet, the owner came to do the installation. He lost a couple of employees and instead of delaying our install, he did it. That says a lot about the company’s integrity and their focus on customer service. We had a couple other closet designers come in, but there is no comparison in the level of knowledge and customer service. Our designer made a special trip to our place to measure where we needed to have a floor outlet installed. She went above and beyond. Teisha and Mark went above and beyond to make sure our experience was great, and it was even better. I highly recommend them. I’m sorry to say we have had an overall poor experience with closets by design. We had a fantastic experience with our designer, but our install day and thereafter did not go well at all. Our designer ended up measuring incorrectly and we were unable to fit our wine fridge that we were planning our pantry around. Our install day took a total of 7 hours, and the installer was late so my husband took a day off of work unnecessarily. Furthermore, it was extremely difficult to get in contact with a manager to come up with a feasible solution that would not cost us more money than we had already paid. Finally we reached an agreement to fix the error, and it took three months to get implemented. Unfortunately when the installer came this morning he had the incorrect color drawers and had to come back in the afternoon (yet more time off of work for us that was unnecessary). When he returned with the correct color drawers, there was an issue with the screws that caused the drawers next to the new ones to not close all the way. Now we will have to wait yet again for the installer to come back a third time to fix his mistake. I’m sorry to say that I cannot recommend using closets by design even though we really enjoyed working with our designer. Service: Custom cabinet design & installation

This looks like a legit business but their employees aren’t trained enough or properly to give you want you want. They are given the bare minimum details and sent out to sell the closets with barely any compensation for time or effort. The company also doesn’t tell you that when they do come to give you an estimate, it will take at least 2-3 hours and then they don’t even give you the price at the end, maybe the next day or the following week. so if you want to waste 2-3 hours of your time for low quality work being sold by employees who don’t know what they’re talking about, then this is the company for you! Not only does the designer not do it right the first time but only responds when she realizes it. Trying to get in touch with these people is difficult. They are defensive and unwilling to make anything right. Put me on a wait list in February for October installation. My friend hired them in March and hers got done in May. They refuse to give me my money back and refuse to come up with any ethical solutions. The only reason why I will continue with this is because they hold you hostage with the contract which I am guessing is the only reason why they still have a business. Do yourself a favor and go with a different company. Service: Closet design

I had a small walk-in closet in our master bedroom remodeled by Closets by Design. Our designer was Gabrielle of the Franklin brunch. She was extremely responsive to my wishes and came up with a design that answered all the requirements. I have now more room in my closet than I have clothes to put in. When it turned out more shelves were needed (just to have them somewhat closer together) Gabrielle was quick to answer my request. She came to my house the next day after work and placed an order for two more shelves. The shelves were ready in no time. All in all, it was a pleasant and stress-free experience. Wendy with Closets By Design sat down and helped us design our walk-in closet and kitchen pantry. She had great advice and input and hand drew the design. The install team was on time, professional and did a great job! Very professional finish to the job. Note : the install team is NOT responsible for patching holes and paint touch up. This is clearly stated in the contract. We were made aware of this and prepared everything ahead of time. We are very happy with our new closet and pantry, definitely a great investment. We have used these guys to customize all of the closets in our house over the years. We have always had excellent experiences with them every time, and most recently they did custom garage cabinets for us. We had a bit of a quirky situation occur with the garage cabinet installation but the next day the installer worked with us by removing all of them so we could make a modification to a framing board that was keeping them from being able to be mounted flush with the wall. The installer was very patient and polite and wanted us to be happy and we were so grateful for him having gone the extra mile to make us happy. It made a world of difference and we are super excited to get our garage organized! I would recommend these guys always. We love all of our closets and our garage!
