This facility is very unprofessional, The PA is a joke and shouldn't be practicing at all, how is it that you take blood work and never discuss anything with a patient about the results, Dr.Brown should fire the whole front desk staff, , they need better training and professionalism, I feel bad for the large amount of geriatric patients that they have. because more than likely they are getting poor service and miss diagnosis, taking advantage of patients and fraudulent billing the insurance company.

So, being new to the area I was looking for a new female Doctor. She's in my network. Never met her. I see her assistant P.A. and she's very nice. I know its 2020 and we are in a pandemic but I have a insurance co pay and I cant afford to keep going to appointments. I sometimes forget the staff knows we are on hold. I gave 3 stars because I dont know how hard all this is for them during this pandemic but I need better service if you're getting my hard earned money.

AWESOME DOCTOR! AWESOME EXPERIENCE! I recently assisted my ailing, limited English speaking friend during a virtual appointment with her doctor, Dr. Andrea Brown, located in DeSoto, TX. Dr. Brown is extremely patient, taking time to listen intently to the issues my friend was having. In addition, Dr. Brown asked many questions in order to gain a thorough understanding of those issues. Dr. Brown is exceptionally knowledgeable and devised a detailed plan to address and correct my friend’s problems. She is kind and possesses a warm presence that fosters a relaxed, comfortable experience during a visit with her. Dr. Brown's nursing and office staffs are efficient and kind, offering guidance and help to secure a prompt appointment. If you are in need of an awesome doctor, search no further than Dr. Andrea Brown.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. The office staff is unorganized and rude. I was told the doctor is not seeing patients in person and was only doing virtual apts in Nov. That should've been my first sign... The receptionist instructed me to email a copy of my drivers license and insurance card to an unsecured email address. When I asked about a secured email address, encryption, and/or a secured portal - the receptionist couldn't answer any of my questions. In between saying she didn't know, her tone became rude, short, and off putting. I asked to speak with the office manager. He was very nice and offered to send me the link to a secure portal. I registered for and accessed the link he sent, only to realize the link didn't have any features for me to securely upload my personal documents. Long story short, because the office never received my info ... which is their fault ... and they didn't even bother to keep the virtual apt. • Rude • Incompetent • Non-responsive • Unorganized • Risk patient personal information Don't put yourself at risk. This office is one email away from making the news. There are too many doctors in the area to settle for horrible service.

I spend 30 minutes in the waiting room with a fever. Meanwhile the staff was joking around and laughing before they notice my name in the list. Mind you, only three people were there. After waiting she simply tells me you have to have an appointment to see the doctor. Now I know I should plan ahead next time before I get sick. I will have an appointment set prior that day.

If I could give 0 stars even that would be too much. I have been visiting this doctors office for over a year now and all they do is tap you on the chest with a stethoscope and order blood work and schedule physicals for the following month. Practitioner has NEVER discussed any of my blood work with me or showed any concern. Recently I had and emergency and went to the emergency room at Baylor. The doctors were extremely concerned and effective in diagnosing my situation. They suggested a urologist for me to see but they did not accept my insurance. Dr. Brown office saw me on a scheduled visit for another physical that i NEVER received. I told the practitioner about my experience in the emergency over the weekend and my current health condition. Do you think she examined me? Absolutely not. All she did was order more blood work and haven't discussed last months results with me at all. She did refer me to a urologist. The urologist got my results back on Monday and said my doctor should call me today regarding the results. It was urgent that I get the results immediately so that I could start treatment on the p,problem. It's now Thursday going on Friday. I haven't heard from them at all. It at your own risk that you use this place. I don't believe in anything they diagnose. You could be in terrible health and not know it if left up to them. If you go there you are not serious about your own health. Some people are just collecting your insurance money and that's all this doctor has EVER done for me.

Wonderful caring physician... meet her in 2004 after moving to the Dallas area. Has time to sit and discuss any, and every issue that the patient maybe having. Gets down to the final result, with a satisfactory diagnosis. Will be seeing get as a health provider in the near future!

I really hate to write this bad review because I know how difficult it is when you have a Black business people look for any and every reason to nick pick. However, if you are a Black Business that don't give a d**** about Black people, you don't deserve our dollars or respect. I saw the red flags the first time I called to make an appointment, but I ignored them silly me. I called and was immediately placed on hold. I waited 10mins before I hung up. I'm like maybe they forgot about me. I called back and was placed on hold again. I waited another 10mins before hanging up. Common courtesy would have been to let me know that there was a long wait head since their hold system didn't give you an idea of how many callers where ahead; that was rude and very unprofessional. I decided to give them another chance, I called back the next day and before the receptionist could put me on hold, I asked her " how long the wait was," she told me 15mins. I'm thinking dang they must be good they have so many people trying to get in. This time I waited. But boy was I wrong..... My first appointment went well. I initially went in because of VB, I was prescribed medicine. Unfortunately, it came back within two weeks. So, I set up another appointment. I know when I have VB because I've gotten it my whole adult life on and off. Sometimes it takes several times of treating it before it goes away. I was very sure that's what I had when I went back. (By the way, I never saw Dr. Brown, I saw her PA). The PA takes a urine sample, and tell me since their are no white blood cells in my urine that I do not have VB. If any lady has have this problem before, you know BV produces unwated odors down there. So I ask what I am suppose to do about that. You say I don't have VB but I have an odor. She tells me to eat Cottage Cheese. So for the next few weeks I tried to get my PH balanced. I Watched what I ate; I added a few things to my diet that I thought may help. After two weeks of this, I had no changes. So I made another appointment. This time I expressed to her, how unhappy I was about our last appointment. That I didn't feel helped. And how I still had an odor. She tells me to do another urine test. This one comes back negative again. Once again, I am sent away. I left out pissed. I got to thinking about things. How is it possible for a person to tell if something is wrong with my vagina by checking my urine only. I became enraged once I realized this woman just looked me in my face and screwed me over. She acted like she gave a d**** about me but if she really did, she would have done a pelvic exam. Because that's what the h*** you do when someone complains about their vagina. How many other women have she done this to. Luckily, I didn't have a STD. I ended up making an appointment to an OB/GYN the same day. It turned out that I did have VB plus a yeast infection. Moral of the story: YOU CANNOT LOOK AT A WOMAN'S URINE ALONE TO DETERMINE, IF SHE HAS AN VAGINAL INFECTION, YOU HAVE TO SWAB THE VAGINA TOO. And, if she really cared about me, she wouldn't had let me walk out of her office complaining of vaginal odor without checking everything. She robbed me took my d**** money and didn't give me the service I paid for. DO NOT GO HERE. LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS.

Lifesaver! I've been going to Dr. Andrea Brown since 1999 and I have received excellent care. In 1996 (I was about 29) I had a pea sized lump in my left breast, I went to a specialist and informed her that the lump comes and goes. I explained that my grandmother died of breast cancer before I was born. Long story short, she told me that I was too young to have breast cancer. Then in 2002 after being uninsured for about 1 year (give or take a couple of months) I made an appointment to see Dr. Andrea Brown and once at my appointment, I informed her that I had gone to Planned Parenthood and informed the nurse practitioner there that I had found a lump and it had not gone away. The NP at that Planned Parenthood asked me if it was hurting me and I told her No. She then told me not to worry about it. Dr. Andrea Brown examined me, immediately made an appointment for me to go see Dr. Ron Calhoun at Charlton Methodist where he performed testing on me. About a week later, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. I was in shock, afraid, I broke down in Dr. Calhoun's office. How was I gong to tell my teenage daughters? Dr. Brown also referred me to see Dr. Cheryl Harth at the Cancer center on Wheatland where I went through 4 rounds of chemo and 36-39 weeks of radiation. 14 years later, I 'm still blessed to be here! I had nothing but the best care! If I have to sit and WAIT while Dr. Andrea Brown provides excellent care to each individual patient, then so be it. She listens to you, advises you, and treats you. If you don't mind waiting YOUR TURN to receive Dr. Andrea Brown's undivided attention and excellent care, I encourage you to make an appointment to see her. God used her to make life saving decisions for me. God is good all the time! Charlotte Dorch Turner
