My family and I visited this store on Thursday, September 1, 2022. While we were checking out around 8:30 CST, the customer in front of me was trying to purchase a package of ramen noodles. However, it was not scanning properly. The cashier asked for the manager. Oscar appeared and very rudely stated that those noodles are only sold individually, not as a package. The customer decided not to purchase the item. I advised Oscar that there were several packages on the shelf that are being sold as a bundle. Oscar rudely walked away from me as I was speaking to him. He then rudely returned to the cash register and removed the cashier for no apparent reason to take over scanning my items. I asked if he was going to take the packages off the shelf to avoid any further confusion. Oscar replied, 'That's the stocker's problem, not mine.' I was shocked at this point and couldn't believe that a manager would actually say this to a customer. Oscar then began to scan my items at a faster pace and then literally throw them into the plastic bags. I had three fragile items that were all thrown into the bag together without being individually wrapped and one of the items even broke. I did not realize this until I grabbed the bags to leave after I paid. I took the item back to Oscar to request a refund and he said it was not broken, even though it clearly was. He eventually refunded me the money only after arguing with me about it first. He then began to scan my mother in law's items with the same haste and disregard to her items as he did with me. He then threw her change in her hand. I'm not sure what warranted this type of attitude and behavior from a supposed manager. I can't believe that 99¢ Only would employ a person with such horrible customer service skills let alone have him manage an entire store. This was extremely unacceptable behavior from a manager.

Although they were out of half size pans. They had charcoal , the lowest price I've seen all year less than 3 bucks great prices there !! And today short lines

Decent lower price store. Be sure to check dates on dairy products and I highly recommend washing all produce you buy several times with white vinegar because lots of it fell on the floor and they just put it back up there. 😬😬

This place is bad, in a Good way because I ALWAYS come out with more than what's on my list. They have some items you don't think about that are strategically placed in your site. I love it

I had the worst experience of my life at the 99 cents store at 410 E Camp Wisdom today, an african American employee and a very unprofessional latino manager accused us of stealing cat food, first of all we were still in the store getting more stuff my daughter made the mistake of paying for some chips first before leaving the store this lady kept talking to her so I asked what what going on she kept talking to my daughter so I asked again what the hell was going on and what her problem was and asked if she even work there she wouldn't answer me so I ignored her and kept getting the stuff I went for. Suddenly the very unprofessional manger came to us and asked us to leave since his employee catched us stealing so I asked him if he had proof and if he wanted to check the receipt he kept asking us to leave the store so I asked to speak with the manager he said he is the manager so I asked for his name and the african American women's name he refused to give me their names. So I called the 99 cents stores corporate office and they said they will investigate. I felt wrongly accused and blamed for something we didn't do I've thought my kids to never steal or be disrespectful. I done customer service and believe me those 2 employees have a long way to learn how to treat customers. They need customer service training. I am really disappointed and upset the way we got treated today and from other reviews this has happened before and no actions have been made towards those employees. 99 cents need to do better than this.

I bought some of everything today. Fresh produce. Candy. Stocking stuffers. Paper products. Did I mention, the .99 cents only store by my house sells wine! $2.99 and up.
