Absolutely terrific restaurant! I stumbled across this restaurant waiting for some friends. There brunch is so good. The swamp on a shingle was lick the bowl good. The crackling? Was equally good. I love michelas. I would definitely come back again for one of their's. The customer service is great. They make sure you are happy often and are quick to serve food and drinks. Everyone in the metroplex should eat here!

We live nearby and visit often. The food is always excellent. Cajun is one of our favorite cuisines, and it's such a treat to have a restaurant doing it so well in our neighborhood. Their cocktails are classic offerings prepared with skill and care. The service is friendly and prompt. I wish they could be open all week, but I understand staffing is tough and all Race St. businesses tend to be closed Monday-Tuesday.

This place is awesome. The ambience is wonderful. The restaurant is built into an old house and the decor is fun. The food is just to die for. The portions are a good size. Unfortunately, or fortunately- according to how you look at it, we went to the museum so we had to eat it all. Couldn't have leftovers in the car. Seafood and hot car, bad comb. So we just had to finish it all. I will definitely be back!

I discovered this place after having seen a post by a relative on shrimp and grits in Houston. I decided that I wanted to find a local place that served the same meal. The Tributary Cafe appeared to be the best option for proximity to my home and currently open. The neighborhood was very busy and parking was a bit of a challenge. Once I found a parking space and went inside, I was impressed with the atmosphere and the cordiality of the staff. I placed my order for shrimp and grits to go and sat at the bar. The staff was cordial and attentive as I waited. Multiple staff members approached me to make sure I was comfortable. After a reasonable time, the order was cooked and packaged for take out. Once I got home and ate it I was delighted and sent a message thanking my cousin for her post about her meal in Houston that opened new opportunities for me in Fort Worth. I will visit Tributary Cafe again soon.

Went towards closing on Sunday, but they welcomed me in and took the order. It was my first time and they gave great recommendations. Settled on the fried chicken with sides of Red Beans and Rice and a Cup of Gumbo. Gumbo was excellent with two large shrimp on it. Red beans were equally as good and flavorful. Now onto the fried chicken. This wasn’t some regular fried chicken. This had to be marinated, then coated with spices, then hand battered in a delicious batter that was fried perfectly crispy on the outside leaving the tender juicy meat inside perfect. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Cajun cuisine (I’m from SWLA) no before food photos because I ate it all 😂

If you like Cajun food… you gotta try Tributary Cafe…For lunch we had soup of the day…chicken and dumplings …We also had to get some gumbo and boudin balls… I had blackened pork chop with mash potatoes greens and cabbage.. my friend had a pasta dish called Pastalaya with shrimp, crawfish , chicken ,sausage in a spicy cream sauce. Great service in this quaint little spot that looks like it use to be someone’s house. I saw same chef in back cooking that was featured in a write up that was displayed next to me with her pic. Looks like they have been winning accolades for Cajun cuisine back to at least 2018 but she didn’t out source….still back there cooking. This place was soooo under priced for the quality and the quantity.
